I can confirm that Coach Chapman has zero interest in Drake University, though does enjoy many tracks by Drake the hip hop artist. I have heard rumblings though that Loras's coach, Ethan Adlfinger, is a finalist (and favorite) for the Drake job. Wonder who will take over at Loras?
Chapman likes Drake? Kinda figured he was more of a Chief Keef/Lil Durk fanboy. The Loras coach has been a head coach for six minutes. That's definitely surprising. I heard a Minnesota D3 coach is the conversation too, so will be interesting to see who's correct.

Congrats to Ethan on his attempt to put his name on the national scale. If Chapman or Dunham didn't want the position, Drake wouldn't look at another D3 coach. If the Minnesota is Maddie Van Beek, that would be a tremendous hire for Drake. She has Midwest recruiting connections and does a great job in a tough area.
Let's talk about dark horse teams on the rise. A few I'm intrigued by are Stevens Point, Tufts, and Washington & Lee. All mostly underclassmen dominant and with some improvement could be top ten teams.
For the Pointers, Logan Murphy is a low stick that will look to move into top 20 placing. While they lose their No. 2, they had freshmen run 14:37 and 14:45 along with five other underclassmen under 15:00. I expect them to be the second team in the North Region. Rumors of a strong recruiting class including more transfers could add even more depth.
Tufts returns two front runners in Reisner (14:16) and Aouchiche (14:29/29:55). A healthy Gulbransen will be hugely impactful for the Jumbos, while we'll look for Cummings to continue to show improvement on the grass. They tend to bring in high level recruits and their coach's dad is the father of a 4:06 miler, so we should expect big things.
Washington & Lee really appears to be a team on the rise for both genders. Like Tufts, some track results are not as promising, but this team finds the most success on the grass. Keaton Rush took a huge step forward on the track though, running 29:37/14:23. He'll be a low stick to pair with sophomore Robert Cooper who finished 50th in the Fall. They onlu graduated one scorer and are very young, but talented. Look for sophomore Sam Daunt to make a big leap after running 14:54 in his first season and classmate Willie Dunaway to be in the mix after racing at Laverne Gibson his first fall at Dubyuhnell.
I do think Stevens Point will be really good this year. I don’t think they’ll beat Whitewater even without Patzka and Schlender. They should have a good battle with St. Olaf and it’s possible an improving Platteville or healthy Carleton could be a 5th qualifying squad.
Anyone have a free copy/screenshot of the stride report's "way too early" d3 xc preview, or a summary of what they said? Don't want to pay for it.
There is like 0.5 companies on Earth interested and willing to create that content, you are among <1000 people who want to consume it; how do you think that works?
They said some teams could be pretty good this year. Others are less certain. They think this could be a good year for La Crosse if the twins stay away from the Library.

So spend one hour per year there instead of one hour per month?
