Jane entered senior year at age 17. Jane is 18. She is not 19.
I’m not astro. I’m not saying Hedengren is the incorrect age for her grade. Hello!?!
As I said, there is another notable female athlete (from California) currently a senior in high school aged 19; she is of atypical age, and will enter college age 19, and quickly turn 20 her freshman year.
Why did you post a bunch of garbage about her age then? Go to a thread about the runner you are referring to. There are site rules about posting off topic things.

MY MISTAKE! I just checked; Englehardt is currently only 18. I must have taken for granted what others on this board were saying about her.😔 Were they wrong about Cade Flatt , too?

Because this topic always comes up with Hedengren and Englehardt, and keeps getting repeated on this board, which is one of the reasons why I clearly laid out the typical ages one enters grades in the US school system.

"Others on this board" (meaning mostly Astro) like to exaggerate the ages of other high school girls in a sad pathetic attempt to make Touhy look better than those other girls. Don't listen to Astro!
She will turn 19 the first month of her freshman year, correct grade or not. For perspective, Tuohy was still 19 competing at indoor nationals as a sophomore. Just some perspective.

The NCAA women's XC champion this year is 23 year old sophomores so there's that.

More distortion and lies. Hedengren's birthday is in September. Tuohy's is in March. Six months difference. Same school year. Making a big deal out of six months is pathetic. What a pitiful loser you are.

So friggin’ what! Nearly half of all high school seniors will turn 19 this year. What is your deal?

Good for her, most people turn 19 at some point during their freshman year of college, AND the progression of girls and women isn't linear the way men's progression is. I turned 19 in September of my freshman year just as Jane will. Your point?
Huh? There has to be a cut somewhere. For U20, Dec 31. For elementary education, states have slightly different dates. If it matters, why is a high schooler faster than a pro?
