So far it looks like it is limited to gang members, and to immigrants already processed by a judge and ordered to leave. No one objects to these immigrants lawfully being deported.
It could have happened much sooner if citizen Trump hadn't politically interfered with a bipartisan agreed bill that everyone favored, supporting ICE and supporting judicial resources to process the backlog of requests in a shorter timeframe.
Blaming state officials for not cooperating or providing state resources is wrongheaded as ICE enforcement is the responsibility of federal agents.
It never needed a bill. That’s the point. It could have been done all along, but Biden refused. Biden wasn’t allowing ICE to function properly. Trump is. This has a two fold effect: not only does it deport violent felons from our country, but it discourages illegal immigrants from coming to the border in the first place. We will probably have 1/5 the number of border crossings in Trump’s first year compared to an average year under Biden. Perception is a powerful tool.
They're gonna round up a bunch of migrant women and children and make a big movie out of it while all cartel foot soldiers roam free.
Cartels are a difficult problem, because money and corruption enable them.
Trump definitely dislikes anything to do with ethics, so he is not going to be equipped to tackle any problems tied to ethics or corruption, or probably at a guess any multilayered problems that can't be attacked at a 7 year old level.
So he is best employed chasing illegals--that is a very simple problem to attack.
You talking about the cartels who made billions under Biden’s open boarder? They loved sleepy Joe.
A new report is sounding the alarm on the dramatic increase in child sex trafficking facilitated by the Biden-Harris administration's open-borders policies. Acc

You know that bill essentially legalized illegal immigration right? like it stated that X number of people would be allowed to illegally enter the country each day....it was a sham bill and everyone knows it, it was rightfully torpedoed by Trump.

Biden refused to deport violent felons? That doesn't sound right. What sounds right is increasing budgets for ICE and for judicial reviews -- that needs Congress.
But I thought Trump was gonna solve the problem in his first four years, by building a wall paid for by Mexico. That happened as promised, right? Promises made, promises kept. So much winning.
Republicans want the border to be a problem, so they can run their campaigns on it.

If it legalizes illegal immigration, then it is no longer illegal immigration. That sounds like a win-win solution. So much winning.
The bill was created by a Republican -- so you might be right that it was a sham bill all along.
Again, what if we made Mexico a 52nd state -- that would solve the illegal immigrant overnight. Surely Dictator on Day 1 Trump could have already taken executive action on his first day.
I thought America was a nation of immigrants. Donald Trump's grandfather was a German immigrant (and notably a draft dodger -- runs in the family), and his grandmother was also a German immigrant, making Donald Trump's father an anchor-baby. Donald Trump's mother was an immigrant from Scotland. Ivana Trump was a Czech immigrant. Melanija Knavs was born in Yugoslavia. Aren't we prioritizing convicted felons? Will he eventually deport himself first, followed by his brothers and sisters, and all of his children? I guess Tiffany can stay, as her mother was American.
