This can often be a well earning, satisfying choice. All she needs for that is good running and a bachelors degree from anywhere.
If she later decides on a different route, good grades at NAU and a strong grad school still works.
I'm sure she and her advising group thought this thru, and felt altitude and less stress academics was a good choice. The NAU women's team now very good, and the group has a nice Southwest vibe.

That’s sad. Wasting a degree and a brain to be a sports trainer and some kind of high school coach. That’s if she even wants to do that. Hoping that’s not the case. Pro runner? Not so sure depending on what happens the next 4 long years
