That proves my quote was NOT taken out of context. Hiltz added those thoughts on Bluesky AFTER the story was published. YOU were being misleading by combining two quotes from different places.
You literally posted the last 8 words of an entire paragraph of what they said, excluding the part that provided the context for their comments, that's the definition of posting something out of context. "I hope she’s treated with love and respect" as a stand alone comment is bullsh!t and you know it and you excluded the rest on purpose. You had all the information you needed to post FACTS and you chose otherwise. Typical BS artist. You are a clown!
its amazing that LetsRun has the audacity to ask Nico Young to appear on their podcast and he graciously accepts yet at the same time allows the most vile, hateful comments about Nico Young to appear here unchecked. Letsrun should really reevaluate things.
But to say that is a reason not to accept someone. To say that being Homosexual would make a coach reluctant the same way a convicted doper who tampered with the process is pretty disgusting.
Huh? Do we live in a society where homosexuality is universally accepted? Would Nico have been supported if he came out at BYU? I praised Smith because he ACCEPTED Young in a society where not every coach would. And that makes me the bad guy??? 🤔
No but you said the fact that Young was accepted as a homosexual by Smith means he would accept someone who cheated and broke the rules is my point. They are not even close to the same. Also this is not about BYU and I do not know if Eyestone would accept her as his record as a coach is (as far as I know) spotless.
Why did you even bring it up? If someone asked Smith if he would be willing to coach Houlihan, would he answer with, “Why wouldn’t I, I coach a homosexual, don’t I?
I brought it up because it’s germane to my prediction about Smith welcoming Houlihan. Like Jesus, Smith welcomes people who are unpopular. He welcomed Rupp when many people accused him of doping because he was affiliated with Salazar. He supported Young when many people turned against him for coming out. He welcomed Hiltz, who is one of the most attacked runners in running today. Now Smith has the opportunity to welcome perhaps the most unpopular runner of all.
I paid Smith the highest compliment someone from my religion can give, and you twisted that compliment to call me disgusting. Shame on you.
More people support Homosexuals then not. At least in America. Who turned against Young? People on LR do not count as lots of them are just bots and racists that formed a cesspool on a running forum. On really any other running site there is basically nothing but support for him(or people just don't care).

WRONG! I gave the context when I said the quote came from a RW story on how people will treat Houlihan when she returns to racing. That’s all the context that was needed.
Will you apologize to me when my prediction becomes reality?

There’s a psycho jerk who comes here every week to spam threads with long diatribes about Young. There are still 20% of Americans who are against homosexuality. Over a third are against same sex marriage. Project 2025 has explicit plans to take away rights for homosexual people. You are living in a liberal bubble.

Your initial post is correctly interpreted as you believing “homosexuality” and being nonbinary, is comparable or worse, than being a drug cheat, so you're not much better.
Would you coach Young and Hiltz? If so, why are you creating a straw man?

WRONG! You twisted the meaning of my words for your evil purposes.
OF COURSE I would do the same thing I praise Smith for doing because I AM A FOLLOWER OF JESUS and Smith is doing the same thing that Jesus would do. Jesus welcomed those who were persecuted by others.
Heterosexuals, homosexuals and bisexuals would all be accepted and treated equally in my training group. That’s how it SHOULD be but that’s not how it always IS.

Houlihan said she’s looking for a team to join. She runs in Phoenix and Flagstaff on the regular. Her Strava says she’s in Flagstaff now.
Mike Smith is like Jesus in the way he welcomes all kinds of people to his team. He welcomed Galen Rupp to his team after Rupp’s longtime coach got barred for unscrupulous conduct. He supported Nico Young after Young came out as homosexual. He welcomed Nikki Hiltz after Hiltz came out as whatever she came out as. I predict he welcomes Houlihan next.
When someone creates a topic on Shelby or Nikki, my assumption is they are attempting to create a sh*t show in the comments. This particular post is textbook trolling.

I wasn’t trolling. A lot of people misinterpreted my message. Some people twisted my words against me. I think they were trolling ME to distract from my message because they hate Houlihan and they hate the idea of an esteemed coach like Mike Smith welcoming Houlihan to his team.
I expect every single person who distracted from my message to apologize to me when my prediction becomes reality.
Houlihan and Hiltz will be perfect training partners who will flourish together. I have a readymade nickname for them as training partners, HouliHiltz.

There is that. But this time the Bot failed to claim Shelby is sweet and innocent and she got framed and the drugs were in the beef, so the thread isn't really taking off yet.
Shelby has served her penalty. I hope she’s able to get another chance as she would in team professional sports (where you get busted for using the same drugs everybody else is using, sit 4 games, and return to play/sponsorship).
If I were a sponsorship decision-maker at a shoe company, I’d offer her a deal with two conditions: 1) She comes clean about her prior drug use, and 2) Another bust voids her deal.

Replying to myself. If I were Mike Smith, I’d welcome her on the same terms.
