My kid is a 2026 being heavily recruited by many of the top schools. First question he asks a school that recruits him is whether they are committed to developing domestic talent, or if they're bringing in older, foreign recruits. Kids want to go to a school that is committed to developing athletes, not recruiting a team of old dudes from East Africa who may or may not be 'enhanced'. New Mexico and others are ruining the sport.
Kids want to goto a school where they can receive the most amount of resources possible in an environment where the coach pats them on the back for “trying as hard as they can.”

The year you turn 25 you should automatically lose eligibility.
NCAA currently loses every case where they put in any restrictions.
They just lost the case where years of JUCO athletics count against your 4 years of eligibility. While it goes to appeal, seniors who went to JUCO get a 5th year for 25-26. If they lose appeal JUCO kids will now have 6 years!
It's moving towards, 'anyone enrolled taking 12+ credits' is eligible for sports, with no restrictions at all.
If there is not going to be age limitations, I'm all for years spent at the JUCO level not counting against NCAA eligibility. For US kids, it gives them a couple of years to develop their craft and allow them to compete more effectively against the older internationals.
Another issue, as the NCAA schools compete with each other to onboard, developed, international talent should they be held accountable (i.e. sanctions) if they are taking PEDs? Right now I'm sure they are just looking the other way and will throw the athlete under the bus when they get popped and go find another one.
Really inspiring to see someone breaking stereotypes and chasing their dreams at any age! It’s a great reminder that it’s never too late to start something new — whether it’s college, sports, or even switching up your look. I recently started exploring beauty trends and came across this helpful site that compares the cost of different eyelash extension brands:

You are a freaking idiot! Do you know Coach Franks? He has his enemy's and I can probably guess where this is coming from! Get over it and move on Brother! Franks has Coached 3 national Champion distance runners in his time at State and LSU. Pretty salty for programs not known for distance runners.
—you need precision, patience, and understanding of every variable. The SEC role may look easy from the outside, but dealing with Kenyan talent and adjusting to American culture requires skill, adaptability, and experience that can’t be learned overnight.
Its called " Equal Rights" Why do you care how old a college athlete is?? We just witnessed a 16 yr old run a 1:42 800 meters. Alberto Salazar defeated a much older Henry Rono, winning a NCAA Cross Country title. Everybody has a right to a scholarship.

How about schools use Tax dollars to fund Americans....what an idea.
This site is weird in thinking people always go right from high school to college. I was 25 and a friend of mine just started at 37.
Years ago there was a guy who retired from military service and then walked on to a college football team in his late 30's. Was a big-ish deal at the time.
LSU isn't doing anything different than so many other schools, so I am not hating on them specifically for it. But still pretty bold to put out a feature video on the subject. I love the coach's comment - "Sure he's a fast ahh Kenyan from the cradle of distance running excellence, but he's also old enough he's practically an assistant coach!"
Age is just a number. Look at Phanel Koech. He arbitrarily claims to be 18, just a number:
