remention Al Sal 208 low, 150m short
that was a cold windy time, with not exactly the best choice of route. so he was good for 207 high easily in good conditions on that course
and NY course is a good 2-3 minutes slower than a Chicago.
and the shoes, are good for 2-3 minutes for sure.
after the math, you have Al Sal at 204 on today's fast course, relatively conservatively.
and dabbler in the grey zone Al Sal, he effectively did not have any turbo PEDs.
and what would Ryan Hall have run without low testosterone, and the new shoes?
it makes sense that with EPO, test and 26 mid low minute 10k, you are going 2 hours flat.
with an optimal Bekele, a guy that could have run 3 consecutive 4 minute miles,
that guy could go 158 low prime, no doubt what so ever.
Bekele was truly on a different planet, where distance running was more like a middle distance thing for him,
if he got beat, it would be at the lower end of the running spectrum, where an aerobic speed guy could hang on with a sit and kick on the right day.
the marathon record is going to 158 low, with the next Bekele, who will need to be doing all the "legal" grey area PED SARM hacks and whatnot.
which is basically today's protocol.
