That was live? I wasn't going to watch it, but I may have checked it out for a moment if I knew it was live. Saw it while scrolling down the guide and figured it was a re-run by a network trying to manufacture Harris votes by giving her more exposure.
She often seems unprepared for questions that seem obvious.
It was always a given that someone would ask her about where she might differ from Biden, yet she continually struggles with that question.
She does struggle with that question.
I think she has a problem reading the audience and seems like she is waiting for a cue from the audience as she thinks about how to answer. Then it comes out as a ramble.
It's time to stop referring to her as unintelligent or low IQ. Whatever her deficits, Kamala Harris (ultimately) passed the California bar exam. Unintelligent people do not do that.
When you are a combination is insincere and unintelligent, this poses significant difficulty when answering even moderately difficult questions. This is compounded when your political will blows with the wind.
Her career was based on being s sugar baby to Willy. Come on. She is an idiot like Biden.
Correct!
When Sleepy Joe had all his marbles, he never did word salads. Cackles is an empty headed pant suit.
CNN senior political commentator Van Jones says former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris are being held to different standards in the 2024 presidential race.

Anderson was tougher on her than Baier was during the Fox interview. She really struggled answering questions articulately. I don’t get her why she has such a difficult time. And when she does get around to answering the questions, her answers are so vague.
I’m still voting for her since the alternative is so horrid, but she is really a bad candidate. We would probably be better off with Biden for another 4 years.
i voted you up even though i'll be voting for the horrid alternative. I appreciate the honesty. We are being fed two sh!t sandwiches. Obviously the Rs will vote for the R and Ds will vote for the d. the very independent minded people have a very tough choice.
Im not sure if all the vote downs are from the people voting for the horrid alternative, or from the very naive sheeple who think she is actually a good candidate.
Thanks for your honesty too. There are not many cordial political discussions on this board. Each “side” seems to only be concerned with putting the other candidate down.

Maybe she would be more appealing to the less educated if she simply didn’t answer the questions or just through out some slogans, like “I love America” or make america great again, or she sold trinkets, or is she talked about wnba players junk?

She's a dumbazz and the worst candidate ever nominated.

Insincere and unintelligent just begin to describe what is problematic with DJT.

Asking her how she would differ from Biden is a cheap trick. If she says that she will push harder to get congress to increase the minimum wage, the next questions will be "why didn't you do that when you were VP" and "so, you admit that the Biden administration failed working Americans". There is no way to answer the question without setting yourself up to get trashed by follow up questions where you have to admit that Biden was a failure, etc. so, she does the best she can with the question and promises to bring in new people.
She is vague on policy because the DNC got her the nomination and she probably had to agree to keep a lot of big policy positions off the table (Medicare For All, student loan forgiveness, PRO Act, etc.). So, she can't make commitments on policy because her DNC overlords won't let her. Whether she can declare independence if she wins remains to be seen.
No policy announcements other than the 6000 dollar child tax credit
She is not interested in policy. She has said she doesn’t want to do anything different than Joe Biden.
Terrible town hall.
what is her platform? her slate of policies? other than 1/6 democracy and abortion.
i think biden has actually done well on inflation and other issues, but she flees defending their record. which basically concedes that space to conservative messaging. migration is down, gas prices are down, inflation is down, and people get to just lie. and circling back to my first point it's not like she has some platform set up running against biden where she can pull off not defending the past 4 years.
nor has she bothered to hammer on how trump's term ended, covid, market issues, goods shortages. the goods shortages are the beginning of inflation, as when the goods finally showed up, we charged more for them. and then after supply chain got fixed the businesses charged more and more and made record profits.
i mean, can you imagine obama just letting the GOP drop the bush market crash in his lap and saying nothing? after he fixed it? there's a point where trying to be the anti-trump, low-key, is turning over the information space to your bad faith opponent, who is not going to present things neutrally or accurately.
she was nowhere near top of my list because in 2020 she got biden good in the primaries, then just dropped it and turned back into a nothing candidate.
her poll numbers as an option before the choice were among the worst. she surprisingly got a bump when picked, plus the vance implosion. but she's let vance back on his feet and seems to be handing the press her october morsels (eg trump-hitler) perhaps too late for anyone to listen and change a vote.
i voted for her already but the polls are steadily heading south and i think that's from an initial spot which was more "thank god, not biden" than enthusiasm for her. which she has then frittered away. anyone any good should have cake walked through the "jesus, are these two 80 year old men really my only options" scenario.
at the time i suggested either an open convention or having the delegates pre-vote on a short list of known names which merely included her. she kind of sneaked in and locked down delegates behind the scenes. apparently hammered them with we have to meet certain dates. we'll see if we pay a price for her getting it for being more clever than a candidate.
I didn't see it. Did she answer a couple questions and then stand there while music played for over half an hour and then go home? No? Ok, then.
Watch it and then let’s have a discussion.
Why? I am already voting for her. I already know she didn't just stand there while music played.
I mean, if undecideds find her answers not good enough and decide to vote for a guy whose teleprompter told him to answer a couple of questions and then stand there for 40 minutes, I don't think those people can be helped.
I think she has a problem reading the audience and seems like she is waiting for a cue from the audience as she thinks about how to answer. Then it comes out as a ramble.

Asking how she would continue Biden’s policies or how she would change them is a fair question. I think if Pence were running it would be important to ask him how he would differ from Trump. It’s a cop out to say that that question is a cheap trick.
As to your second point, I see you are a “Deep State” person with your “DNC Overlords” comment.
Kamala has CNN, NBC, CBS, MSNBC, NYTIMES, REDDIT, LA TIMES, Bloomberg, WAPOST, EVERY celebrity all unapologetically supporting her just because shes a democrat. full stop.
