Yeah and that's his first and only 1500m championship win of note and he went on to lose all of them for 3 years and didn't even make it to the podium this year.
Josh Kerr also lost three in a row, then won once, then lost again. He sucks as well!
You've just ironically shown you are your username. We were never comparing Kerr and Ingebrigsten, just saying that the fact he uses wavelights in training could perhaps contribute to his sub-par championship 1500m record in comparison to his results in competitions such as the diamond league. You don't have to make this a Kerr v Ingebrigsten thread just because you haven't got anything to bring to the conversation.

LOL. I was responding to Sledge_Hammer not you. But sure, his results are subpar but nobody has done him better in this era in championship records, so I fail to see any importance or broad implication to your argument. Also, making a loose comparison to “following pace lights” when Jakob is literally doing a threshold workout to the pace he has to face in a 1500m is laughable. Nuguse, Hocker, and even Kerr would use this as well in their base training. Expect a dumb response to a retarded argument. List out every global championship 1500m since 2019 until now and let’s compare how well everyone has done compared to Ingebrigtsen. I’ll wait.
You are aware that he already won the Olympic 1500m gold medal? Is that championship setting-ish enough for you?
He is always right there at the front giving himself a chance to win in the biggest races. How many runners in history can say that? He runs multiple distances and formats. I am just happy that he's around.

He won the Euro championship 1500 and 5000 double in three separate years, I believe. Including recently. How do you define "of note?" Pretty high standards you've got there. Are you referring only to Worlds and Olympics? If so just say that.
He also just won the Olympic 5000. Fairly sure that's a championship-style race, yes? How did the lights play into that? Did he train with lights before his Euro XC championship in 2022?
He is a legendary runner who is simultaneously in form to win at multiple distances. That fundamentally means he isn't optimized for any of those. It's incredible. Whatever he does for training is helping him to do that.

Even Sledge_Hammer's argument didn't warrant that comparison as he never mentioned Kerr. As for his record Ingebrigsten has won once since 2019, the same as Wightman, Kerr, Hocker.
I guess on my part it was a pretty stupid argument with the wavelights if it was a threshold workout, but he evidently still has some weaknesses when it comes to 1500m racing.
