Let me tell you what Europeans think a good time in nature is - just look at the Paris tri where athletes got sick swimming in a dirty river. And they had to make it a lap course because they have so little nature.
Are you not familiar with large cities?
Yes large cities often lack nature, excellent observation.
But soon the Golf Stream is about to stop and then Europe gets pretty uncomfy as well.
The specific current at risk of shutdown is the AMOC, which transfers heat from Greenland to Europe. Europe would become colder, not warmer. It's also no laughing matter for anyone and not worth a pissing contest because:
1. It risks 10ft of sea level rise over the course of ~20 years due to the decimation of the Greenland ice sheet since all the heat would get stuck there. All oceanfront cities would become New Orleans, except without the preexisting levees.
2. Millions of people in all countries will fall victim to famine.
So yeah hahahaha. The weather in Europe may abruptly change and ruin the lives of everyone on the planet. You really got him.
Thank God virtually all of the climate doom and gloom predictions have been wrong so far!
Op sounds unhinged, like someone who chose Jackson, MI as a vacation destination. Most Europeans go to our national parks and beaches when they visit, not swamps and fast food restaurants. They have a good time.

A good general rule with LR is if the original post is anonymous and the content is unhinged or otherwise unreasonable, it's just a troll.

I have seen vast parts of the US over the years. Yes your beaches and national parks are amazing. Yet the people in the crappy parts whine about everything in the hood parts. They seem angry and insecure.
Wait until you see some of the southwestern US cities out in the desert!
Exactly, I was expecting OP to say some place like Phoenix. But I guess they're talking about Florida? Florida is very much inhabitable, it only gets up to the 90's and plenty of water, not as deadly as Phoenix with their 115 degree days and zero natural water in the area.
Fair question. A lot of it has to do with how their cities feel. They are just way, way nicer. Have you been to Copenhagen or Florence or Bern?
We are "richer" than Europe (GDP) but out towns and cities are kind of gross by comparison. Our cities and towns generally feel poor. We have fewer parks and less impressive public building. Our cities are domDollar Generals, Jiffy Lubes, Walmarts, litter, six lane roads, homeless camps, massive parking lots, etc. It is nasty in our cities.
Look at the millions living in crime ridden, squalid, dirty cities breathing rotten air and fearing going out at night....I look out my windows at majestic mountains and star laden night sky's while coyotes yodel in the distance...

Alfred Jodl will be outside your window tomorrow night.

Yes the mountains are good and typically not swampy climate.
These areas are basically swamps. Way too hot and way too humid. Going outside for much of the year is miserable and they are areas almost entirely devoid of natural beauty anyway.
The people there are angry and fueled by corn syrup, rage and often obesity. They regularly bore you by attacking people who live in appealing parts of the country. It seems like insecurity.
^This is sold trolling. Well done "European traveller" lol

Yep. With a few exceptions American towns and cities just seem like cookie-cutter versions of other places.
Grid roads, a Wal-Mart, an enormous out-of-town mall, a bowl-type stadium with a team that could leave at any time to another identical stadium in another city.
Everywhere has sickly sweet names like Fairview, Springfield, or Greenville...
The best places in America are the places that get really cold at some point during the year. This reduces the population density because a lot of Americans seem to prefer warm climates (and then use A/C the whole time).
If you come to the USA, I recommend checking out places that are cold like western Montana, Maine's coast, or Washington state's North Cascades. I would avoid any place that has more parking lots than parks/forests (most all American cities).
Port Townsend is one of only three Victorian Seaports in the United States. As such, it is one of the few cities to have two National Historic Landmark Districts. Over the past few years, Port Townsend’s culinary scene has co...
