I agree with. Only a fool would think Tuohy is as good as Andrews.
Except that Andrews is going backwards. What happened to her? Looks like she doesn’t enjoy it anymore. Or maybe needs to move to the 10k. 5K days are over basically

Probably hates the 5k. Also don’t forget she used to travel to all these countries with her hubby who would grab himself some pacing gigs, and all you would see are tourist photos of them enjoying the sites. Now she has to travel alone. Not as much fun anymore. Plus we all know that age isn’t on her side
This one is hard to figure. When she ran 15:07 back in June it seemed like she had turned the corner. You figured with a solid block of training since she could get some improvement on that time. She should at least be able to run with Henes. The way I see it something seemingly happened healthwise in late 2023 and she has struggled to regain her form. Even her recent mile was just solid. We gloss over it, but what happened to her at ncaa outdoor was very odd. That type of innate talent will not suddenly disappear, but it has been an strange interlude. Goes from high school runner, to being written off, to having great college results, to another regression. Hard to really get a read. Time will tell.

Where's Robby? He can't travel with her?
Also Andrews is obviously good enough to race in Europe at high quality non-diamond league meets and expect to contend for global teams at the US champs. She might not be favored to make the team, but she's good enough to be there if a couple of the favorites falter and take advantage of it.

I think some good 1500s would be better for her. Just to get used to that spring in her step again.
Isn’t she scheduled for a 10,000 in a couple weeks?
Tuohy is going backward also. Andrews will always be better than her.
Typical Tuohy hater post…no evidence to speak of. No question this was a mediocre outing…after a long recovery there’s bound to be two steps forward one step back if you look at any normal athlete’s performance history. She ran a PB in her last outing, though admittedly not overly impressive. Why this athlete attracts this level of haters when she’s shown nothing but humility and classy behavior throughout her career is beyond me. I can only attribute it to jealousy and immaturity by the ‘brave’ anonymous posters.

That is a false statement. Andrews was nothing during NCAA years, while Tuohy was a NCAA champion. Tuohy is 22 with a 1500 and 5k PB of 4:06 and 15:03. At 22 Norris was only capable of 4:10 and 15:29. Sorry but Tuohy will continue to get faster and Andrews will only get slower than she already is.
She better call Nick Bare and complain - he didn't give her the "good stuff".
It is just laughable that people still follow her. They actually think she is going to just bust a 14:40 any day now. What did high school sophomore Elizabeth Leachman run this year? 15:25 I think? And Andrews crushing her was just the final nail in the coffin. Add insult to injury. Maybe her "fans" shouldn't constantly blast people like Andrews, Valby, Wiley, and anyone else who can blow Tuohy off the track. Karma always comes back to bite them in the @ss.
Seek help, man. Seriously, before you hurt yourself or someone else, and then it's too late.
there is no putting lipstick on this. 18 months ago, Tuohy looked like she might be the best female NCAA runner of all-time. Hope she can get it back. nothing is guaranteed.
Back to the age stuff? How old is Valby? How old is Wiley? Tuohy is washed. And she isn't humble.
Pay attention , the discussion was between Tuohy and Andrews. Is it too difficult for you to accept that Norris was never great and never will be? Tuohy at this point is faster than Norris was at her age. What the future holds for Wiley, Valby or Tuohy no one knows. And NONE of those three are washed up.

College bests 4:24/15:03
Pro year 1 (post injury) 4:26/15:07
Not much to see really, assuming good health we will learn a lot more in Pro year 2. Key of course is how she runs at USATF.
Does Monson get any lipstick? She was a DNS today. Is there a guarantee she returns to previous form?

Monson most likely reached her full potential as a pro. Even that 15:03 for Tuohy was a slight disappointment.
15:07 coming off injury was satisfying. unfortunately she hasn't progressed with a couple months of solid training. or maybe she still isn't right.

Please quit with the "coming off injury." Just quit. We have been hearing that refrain for 6 months now. Please never again say "coming off injury." We don't do that with anyone else.

Norris/Andrews has always been fragile and inconsistent. She spent most of her college career injured. She has run fast when she has had a healthy stretch of training and faded when she hasn't. Who knows if she can manage to put in another quality block of training and get back to her best level next season, or if her best days are behind her.
Except she was injured for a while. Did not start training until April. We discuss it with other runners. Why not her? It's possible she is dealing another setback. Would make sense.

Where’s the evidence of the ‘solid training’?…her recovery may be slower than she would like…a nagging small injury may be recurring…we don’t know what has transpired of late. Give it a break. All this is highly speculative unless you’re her training partner. No other athlete gets this type of hyper-scrutiny. Others are DNS, DNF…finish dead last, after some promising outings. We don’t write them off when a successful race is followed by a disappointing one. Let’s back off a bit…

It seems like "cross training" and 25 mpw can allow someone to shatter college records while running incredibly consistently and never showing fatigue.
