Does spamming every thread with your tired "eVeRyOnE iS DoPiNg durr durr" takes bring you joy? Because clearly following track and field doesn't. Jesus christ find another sport to follow if this one only inspires you to b*tch on an anonymous messageboard every day. Is it not enough for you to hate the sport? Do you have an uncontrollable urge to ruin it for everyone else too, then smugly call them naive for wanting to watch some fast people run in circles without being deafened by your screeching? Congratulations on getting such a long reply out of four asinine words, but for f*ck's sake you're worse than that Khamis dumb*ss...at least his schizophrenic idiocy is good for a laugh sometimes. Please for the love of god go away
I agree with Mr. choccymilk... however...
Re: Khamis', I have a hypothesis that this is just an AI someone prompted to be super annoying and spam the hell out of any thread it pleases. Maybe some find amusement there, but mostly, I just have to skip them and find it even harder to sift through to find interesting insights.
One thing is for sure, there is enough material out there to train an AI to post everywhere "in the style of Khamis" and thereby destroy the LRC message boards. I say this not to give bad actors bad ideas, but rather because I wonder if the BroJos are prepared to defend the site.
Seriously bruh???????????? Like what the heck???????? I'm an AI spammer and super-annoying?????? Please seek help bruh!!!!!!!!
I wear my heart on my sleeve, that's all I'm telling you man!!!!!!! I don't have an annoying style, I have a straight-shooter style, period!!!!! But I'm also a very elegant shooter if I need to!!!!!
I speak from my heart that Fisher is doped to the gills!!!!!!!
Another angry hasbarat still miserable about Fisher medaling.
I don't think so. Everybody in the back room knows Fisher's 2 bronzes were constructed by doping PEDs. It couldn't have been possible for him to kick so well all of a sudden after showing no such kick at trials and all history.
Sure as hell sir!!!!!!! Fisher's unreal strength and energy at Paris Olympics compared to US trials when he was merely struggling to outdip Nur Abdi in the 5k and in the 10k running a little wimpy kid in the last 400m is indicative of doping!!!!
How else do you explain Fisher kicking in 54/55 seconds in the 5k/10k in Paris while at US trials he was kicking in 56/58???? And world of a difference in biomechanical output patterns????
Once again, the angry Troll who lives an angry life has to pollute the board with his tripe. And he wants to promote his own channel to top it off. Dude! Take a chill pill !!
Ummmm no, I think you are too old for your own good sir!!! Chill pill???? Seriously???? Angry life????
I live a tranquil monk's life in a vast mountainous region alright!!!!! I live a life of RELEASE with zero build-up tension and blissful sunrise and sunset daily you feeling me??????
The deers and goats around me are also neither angry nor vindictive alright!!!!!

You seem to find it difficult to accept you are following a doped sport.
You really don't have the skill sets for reason and persuasion as I don't understand a single statement of yours. It's not making any sense at all. I'm not persuaded you feeling me!!!
I think I should subscribe to your authoritative channel, it seems like a very insightful place.
Yes thank you sir for your kind and obliging words of appreciation and love!!!!!! It encouraged me greatly in the pursuit of truth and wisdom. Please I welcome you to subscribe to my authoritative channel!!!!
So to summarize for everyone - if you are a world class runner:
1 - Successfully peak for the major race(s) of your season = doping
2 - Run exceptionally well for a long period of time = doping
3 - Run really well in any race then not run well = obviously doping
So the easiest way to never be accused of doping is to simply never run at a world class level. In which case, on Letsrun.com you suck and should give up the sport.
I hope that clears things up for everyone.
Over a decade ago a confidential athlete survey indicated up to 1 in 2 championship athletes was doping - but it could even be higher. Do you want to address the point again from an informed perspective?
is proof of jakob's never-ending fitness indicative of doping, or ppl like grant who 'peak at perfect time' and then are shwdows of themselves?
discus
Mhmmm, a very thought provoking question!!!! This is more like it from an LRCer!!!!! This is what I first signed up for in LRC!!!!!! I want to be challenged and tested!!!!!! I like your comment so much sir!!!!!
I'll also say that I think the latter is more indicative of doping!!!! You simply don't drop off such exponentially within mere days after the olympics!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Look at Hocker, at least he still gave his best and got 2nd behind in Jakob in a still respectable 3:29 despite doping for Paris and running 3:27. But Fisher is just totally dumb af and didn't know how to hide his doping better. He obviously took peaking to way too extreme hence pretentious level when he exponentially dropped off so egregiously with a 32 second gap to Jakob at Silesia!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Too egregious hence too doping!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bad doping playacting in general. Someone's gotta teach him to be more subtle!!!!!!

Amen darling!!!! You are the authority on all doping matters from now on!!!!! If you wanna say Jakob is a doping too I will specially set aside one portion of my heart just for you to do that alright!!!!!!!! This part of my heart will be solely dedicated only to you!!!
This thread has digressed to two noobs posting gibberish.
This thread should be about celebrating greatness and acknowledging the difficulty of holding peak from USA’s through the Olympics, the physical and mental exhaustion of training and racing at the highest level in the world all year.
Two Bronze medals in the 5,000m and 10,000m at the Paris Olympics! You did what no US distance runner has ever done.
Thank you Grant Fisher for bringing tears of joy to so many track fans in the USA and around the world during the Olympics.
You inspired US distance athletes at the Olympics to believe they can medal. You inspire young runners and old runners here in the USA and represent all that is good in sport.
Us indoor 2 mile record, near US indoor 5,000m record, win at the Ten, winning the US Olympic trials 5,000m and 10,000m and two Bronze medals at the Olympics.
Historical season.
Rest, celebrate and US track fans look forward to watching you compete in 2025.
There has been a multi-page thread on how his change in training has improved his performances. So what does this now say about the effectiveness of that training?
Well it says that Fisher's training has gotten worse because he ran worse than a highschool kid in Silesia with a result so slow as tortoise it's totally unbelievable!!!! He ascended to high heavens with his impossible 5 and 10 medals and dropped nearly vertically straight back to earth after only 2 weeks?????
I mean seriously come on man, a double Olympic bronze medallist with supershoes and nanotech track surfaces should be running at the very minimum under 7:30 seeing how he closed down Jakob so fast in the last 200m of the olympic 5k final in high heat and humidity on fatigued legs!!!!!!!!!!!!! In fact, you would be surprised how given Fisher's doped form at Paris he should still be running with Jakob all the way to the finish line of Silesia 3k for a new AR of 7:18!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But Fisher doesn't want to do it because he is scared of the doping accusations coming his way. A coward isn't it????

Excuse me sir, I don't mean to be rude, but your saying 'difficulty in holding peak from USAs to olympics' is your assumption!!!! I have mine alright?????
Respect my views and I will respect yours sir!!!!! What makes you think your assumption is more superior than mine which is doping?????
There has been a multi-page thread on how his change in training has improved his performances. So what does this now say about the effectiveness of that training?
This says that he won two USA golds and racked up two global medals, and than ran out of gas
Reminder that Chep, one of the greatest 10K runners ever, the same age as Fisher, didn't even have the legs to run the Olympic 5 after the 10. No one else medaled twice. He had a remarkable season
Look you yourself don't seem to be conscious of what profanity you speak in your statements???? You don't see it do you???
You don't see that you are saying Cheptegai the 'GOAT', the 'WR holder all time GOAT', '5k/10k specialist', can't even have the legs to do the 5k after the 10k and yet a lesser mortal and non-GOAT like Fisher whom nobody has heard of outside America and outside of Olympic medalling history could come back so strongly to do the 5k and kicked faster than Jakob in the final 200m of the race in 26.4s really???????????? 26.4 is 52 second 400m speed and Fisher could barely run 30 seconds for the final 200m of his 10k trials race 6 weeks earlier????????
Where is your logic??? Where is your consciousness sir????
With traditional training the tendency is that a peak can only be held around 6 weeks, as the endocrinal/hormonal system can't sustain that level longer. You can go from PR shape to off the cliff in a matter of a week.
For some of these runners you can add the post Olympic emotional deflation.
I think Jacob's training, being more threshold pace probably gives a longer peak, but he also didn't have to peak for his country's trials, and with his winter injury problems, he peaked later than most Olympians anyway.
It's almost as if the Olympics was Fisher's peak event, and like any athlete after they peak in training his performance fell off as his body's fitness/health receded, signaling that it's time to scale back, take it a bit easy and base train for a while.
The Olympics should be a culmination of a T&F athlete's season. They don't need an epilogue of multiple Diamond League races afterward and it can actually be harmful and delay a return to form to insist on it. Let the non-Olympic athletes have the August and September Diamond League races.
Fisher's made his money in Olympics bonuses and likely future endorsement deals, not to mention increased his value for future years without needing to pull an extra $10K-20K in throwaway races with relatively little upside and more substantial downside.
