The lights help if you are already at the level but are not balancing the effort over the distance. (Like FK was 0.3S away from 1500 WR in 2023)

Hell no. But I had it a couple of times before here, for example with the half and marathon records. Sometimes you just need logics. When Komen can run 3:29 and 7:20... why wouldn't the Olympic 5k champ with a 3:26 PB for 1500 not be able to run roughly 3-5 secs quicker. That 7:20 just was not attacked very often. The 5k record soon will be gone, too.
