Rewatched the race last night and have never seen a runner run like that. I can only guess that he wanted Wanyonyi to lead the last bit with the hope of coming over the top in last 100m.
If Arop runs on the inside lane with proper pacers we might see 1:40.8. He is clearly fit right now.
