Sean Brosnan's Book on Newbury Park's Success

It still would be a better career decision to start coaching again. His stock as a potential hire for a college team or a pro team is rapidly decreasing every month he spends not actually coaching.

Clearly he's not receiving the offers he thought he would - it's time to start at a smaller school and build it into a powerhouse to earn a better job. If Brosnan is as good as he thinks he is, it would be easy.

Right. He made a killing on crypto and real estate, wrote and sold a screen play. Sure. Sounds true. Like lots of other Brosnan tall tales.

I know he made a boat load of money somehow. I’ve heard he wrote and sold a script. Although this has noting to do with Brosnan’s book.

Brosnan has turned down at least two smaller schools I personally know about. Coaching a pro group takes planning and time. He’s coaching in the fall / winter with a group. It’s been known for a little bit of time now. With it being an Olympic year and the pro season finishing at Brussels in mid September I wouldn’t except an announcement until November/ December.

I don’t care where he coaches in the future. I’m just excited to read this book.

I know of a couple of college jobs that turned him down this past year also. Why is he applying for college jobs if he has a pro group in the works? If it's been known for a little bit of time, why not announce it? I mean, he's announcing a book and selling it prior to even writing it.

So, since you know so much. Who is he coaching and who is the group?

I don’t think they mean he interviewed for tons of college jobs. It usually means you get contacted by the schools hiring committee, head coach / director and you decide you’re interested in pursuing.

From the looks of things Brosnan focused on writing a book this year and I think that’s great. Newbury Park was unbelievable and completely dominated the running scene for a bunch of years. I think this book will do well. Especially with Chris Lear attached to the project.

I don’t think anyone will reveal names or details until contracts are set. Most athletes contracts are done and need to be reviewed after the season. Remember the pro season goes to the DL finals

I'm more concerned that he announces his book, coordinates it with his biggest outreach (The Young brothers posting about it), and 5 days later the website, which is the only place you can pre-order it, is still down.

The book may be great, but this is the worst pre-order campaign in history. Selling books is hard work. It's even harder if you botch your announcement this bad.

This is all completely made up. Most contracts are set? You make it sound like contracts are all synchronized. People are signing contracts at all different times of the year. If someone signed a contract, they would announce it. If you know something specific, just say it. If you don't, then stop making it sound like it all makes sense. If the dude had a job, everyone would know it and know the details. He wouldn't be able to stop talking about it.

It's funny because people were saying the same thing 14 months ago when he lost his UCLA job. "He has big things in the works" and "he's starting his own pro group extremely soon" and Brosnan saying he has an "agent" that he signed with.

He's been UNEMPLOYED for 14 months and counting. His big announcement was that he's writing a book? That's not a big announcement, LMAO.

He’s not unemployed. But I guess the crazy people on the message boards like to make things out to be worse or just assume.

OK, so why so secretive? Why not just tell us what his job is?

Let me jump in here. The same people that told me JJ Clarke was going to Stanford before anyone knew and the same people that told me Carlson was getting the Colorado job before anyone knew have told me what’s going on with Brosnan. He’s fine and doing well.
This just seems like you have it out for Brosnan but don’t actually know what’s going on in his life. No one owes you an explanation!
What I can tell you for fact is last week Brosnan was at a running camp in up state NY ( I forget the name of it ) and he was in Silesia today for the Diamond League. He’s not flying all over the world on his own dime for no reason.
It’s time to relax and stop worrying about Sean Brosnan.

No matter what happens I am looking forward to reading this book. For Chris Lear to take part it’s a must read for me. And leave it to Brosnan to team up with Lear. I drove hundreds of miles to watch this team run at the Running Lane XC champs on 2021. That race was the most insane domination I’ve ever witnessed by a XC team at a championship.
I also feel like a lot of mystery surrounded Newbury Park over the years. It will be interesting to see what is revealed in this book.

He's flying all over the world because he has free time as a result of being UNEMPLOYED.
