While I would consider each of these (or at least one of the LOTRs) 5/5 movies, their gaps in narrative logic are big negatives for me if considering them for a "greatest" title, particularly because they all rely so much on the narrative. Terminator 2 is a lesser offender of the three though. That movie is almost perfect.
Caring about "narrative logic" is such a lame and boring way to assess movies, like some weird CinemaSins way of approaching movies where every plot point has to make perfect sense.
Lucio Fulci's The Beyond is arguably to greatest horror movie ever made, and it makes absolutely zero sense narratively. Because people who enjoy movies know plot is maybe the least important part of the process.
I strongly disagree. Shawshank is a wildly overrated melodrama. Pulp Fiction is great though, particularly for it's editing. It wouldn't get into my top 2 or 3 though. The best movie from 1994 is Chungking Express. Hoop Dreams is #2.
You’re allowed to disagree. 2.9M votes on IMDB have it ranked #1.
It’s not my number 1, I was just pointing out those 3 epic movies released within weeks of each other.

Too hard to rank, but some picks from my Top 20:
Pulp Fiction
Shawshank Redemption
25th Hour
American Beauty
Donnie Darko
Interstellar
The Social Network
Memento
Stand By Me
The Royal Tenenbaums
There Will be Blood
I think shawshank and Pulp Fiction might have actually been released on the same day. But I think neither were even the best opening that day as hoop dreams was also released. It's common for films that do well at cannes to all come out within the same couple weeks. Happens every year with want to be oscar Contenders.
Unknowable. "All time" includes that past, present, and future. You can't know what the greatest movie of all time is unless you know all the movies that will ever be made.

I gave those movies 5/5, along with 200 others ive seen. Logic is obviously low on the list of what I care about. In some cases the lack of narrative logic actually enhances a movie (some recent examples: any musical, the father, RRR, Mad Max). Some of my favorite movies have no narrative. But, the lack of logic in movies with intricate plots IS a factor when discussing what is the singular greatest movie, particularly in plot driven action movies. The gaps in logic in those particular movies reduce suspense and tension by taking the viewer out of the movie, reminding them that the movie would work better with a much lighter plot...not something that someone needs to be thinking of 90 minutes into the movie. IMO, The Matrix works way better by simply cutting out a dozen minutes of exposition dialogue. Like I said, still 5/5 movies, the best 2 action movies of the 90s, just not the greatest movies of all time.
Or the real answer, which has been mentioned above
Big Trouble in Little China
Lawrence of arabia is definitely on my shortlist of most beautiful movies. Plus it might have my favorite line of dialogue from any movie, shortly before the famous match cut.
