Very good podcast episode. I think Lyles comes across as pretty genuine and likable in the conversation. It is funny though that he comes off very poorly on IG/wherever where they are just cutting out him looking like he's aloof/douchey. Like not knowing who Jokic is, when he's pretty honest and being like I follow track and League of Legends that's it. I don't find that a flex at all from him. Yet NBA fans are further digging in. And then on the Tyreek thing, where that's not even bravado, he's just telling it like it is.
A healthy Lyles vs Tebogo over 200m was the post-Olympics race I most wanted to see. With a Sha’Carri, Julien rematch a close second. I would think Lyles would want to demonstrate he was in much better form than his sickly finals by dropping a 19.4 and proving it.
Lyles already had a long year, running indoor. He also has a big year next year with another WC and maybe Grand Slam track? Not sure if he’s going to try to make a bigger push to be on 4x400 by running more 400s.
