Yes and it’s just the beginning. Love watching the young college stars taking over and even qualifying in the Olympics. lots to look forward to in women’s track in the upcoming years.
Looks like KT is coming back into form…not quite at her peak (she ran a record indoor 4:24 while at State) but a couple of seconds off which is consistent with her recent 15:07 5K. Would expect her to shave time to be more competitive in the upcoming few European outings, as well as go sub 15 for the first time.
Steelman posts "Germany next" so Dresden 5000 8/30 may be next race for the entourage. No 3000 or 5000 in Berlin that I can see. Will Henes run? Her pacing in that recent mile was a little shaky.
I'm very curious to see what KT is able to run. Can she take it to the next level - sub 15 at the very least if not closer to 14:50? Her last 5,000 of 15:07 was June 5th so close to three months ago. Then she seemed to be rounding into form but still building back from being injured. Her 1500 time of 4:26 last week was unexciting but could reflect a focus on the 5 rather than the 15 (she seemed hosed at the end) or just not a great day. We will soon see. Predictions anyone? I'm going with 14:53 myself.
