Not the best, but a very long season for him. He might be the fastest 400 meter runner in the world at the next Olympics. He did alright, but put him second so he can be in the mix and compete, first is a very hard leg
August is late for a high schooler. Even the NCAA athletes tend to struggle at the Olympics because of how long the season is. I’m also curious as to how his training went over the summer. He’s not a pro.
He will have his moment and maybe even be the next big U.S. sprinter, but that time is not yet.
A bit weird. I had off days running in hs and college but never that far off
If the team did not make the final some coaches heads would have rolled for sure. I don't blame the kid, he will be fine. Coaches-I blame for this one.
Is gonna come out that he had Covid?! I mean that was so unlike him. He obviously can’t be on the final team. What a terrible showing, unfortunately, for the kid. Hopefully he’ll be back in four years.
I just hope Norwood isn’t burned out for the final. Hall should be ready, Benjamin may need a breather. It will be very interesting to see what the line-up is. If I had to predict it, I’d say Benjamin/Norwood/Deadmon/Hall.
You have to get experience at some point. Now he has gotten experience.
The team made it through. They have 3 good guys to swap in for the final. It's all working out.
I disagree. He does need to get experience at some point but there are less risky ways to do it. There is much discretion who to put there and he put us half a straight away behind. The other 3 ran perfectly patient -well run 400s to eat into a gigantic lead. We were lucky to qualify!
