I certainly wasn't.

Tanaka qR? Seems out of the gulag round
That Portuguese athlete is going to destroy his wrist doing that cartwheel one day.
Birke Haylom was 11th in heat 3.
“Should we take the world indoor champion?” “Naw let’s bring the world indoor 9th placer who ran fast in that one race in April.”
She was already falling straight back, reason why she got bumped into and stumbled, don't understand that at all

She did PR though! On to the repechage!!

All U.S. 1500 runners keep on looking like they know they belong up front! Great to see the overwhelming confidence time and again...
Hiltz looked fantastic. If she shifted gears at the end, you couldn't notice. Looked effortless.
St. Pierre looked great. More arm swing at the end than Hiltz in her heat but still a well-controlled effort. And, High-5'd Hull at the end.
MacKay looked all out to get 6th in heat #1.
Didn't notice this before, but when Emily is in a full sprint she has a very pronounced and wide arm swing. Eric Holt . . . light.
Had to run a sub-4 at 10 am just to qualify. Who ever had to do that?
But, Emily stated to Lewis Johnson/NBC afterwards she expected to go sub-4 so was prepared for it.
Another great start to the day for Team USA.

4th place closed in sub-60. What did ESP close the 5000m at the trials?
Yeah Hassan closed in 8:23/4:02/2:34/59.0 for a time 4 seconds faster than ESP’s PB. It does not feel to me like St. Pierre would have been in the running for bronze. The top 2 Americans were 15 & 17 seconds behind Hassan…I reckon ESP might have been 7th or 8th.
What stuck out to me regarding Mackay is how forward she was leaning in her stride down the home stretch.

I did not see it. Was that O'Sullivan (who ran NCAA all dates #2 I believe - 4:00.23)?
Hiltz is going for Gold!

Lucky for heat one of the hurdles repechage that two go through. The American taking advantage of the rules to jog his heat yesterday. Unfair for whoever comes third here that they have to race him today
Yes Fred's coach was outstanding. All aspects of his race improved; start, steps, hurdling technique, lean. Almost 6 sec improvement!
What difference does it make if Crittenden "exploited" the system? An athlete who he would have beaten in the heats made it through instead.
Turning into a saga

Yes! Good observation.
Both Eric Holt and Timothy Cheruiyot . . . light.

Yep.
Will never happen. Would be very lucky if team USA can manage a bronze with Kipyegon, Hull, Muir, Tsegay and company
Turns out Linden Hall tore her calf 10 days before the games so that explains her showing in the heats.
This repechage heat 2 in the 110h is insane. 13.536, 13.538, 13.539, 13.55.
Imagine missing the semis by one thousandth of a second 😭
