Why is there no Keely-Mania???

Keely seems to be handling it well but the tabloids will have their knives out soon enough; if the doesn't actually do anything wrong something will have to be manufactured...

Americans have a hard time letting the Revolutionary War go. We still have a less than favorable opinion for the Queen and King. Also, the accent gets a little annoying after repeated listens.

Really? Are you crazy! She's only improved her 800m time by 1.3secs since the last Olympics. We really should be asking why she hasn't improved more. Well, her coach says that her recent training times suggest that a sub 1min 54sec time could be happening this year.

I have a feeling she'll go for a 1:53 in the closing few DL races of the season. A few weeks R&R post Olympics, a great pace-maker this time around and she'll push it very close.

If you are paraphrasing what I said, I didn't say Keely was "mean". I have absolutely no idea. But facts are that she is currently a higher regarded talent than Valby and doesn't have LR "mania". Femke is a proven equal or better talent . LR can decide.

Keely should get her due but the reality is this was a pretty weak W 800 field this Olympic cycle. ...and that played out w a pretty boring race w slow times and weak finishes by all except Keely...1:57s & 1:58s with first lap 58s and 59s is a joke for Oly finals in 800 W!

Well blame the organisation for scheduling a final the day after a semi final when there were three days between them in Tokyo

Keely at least has something that resembles boobs - unlike Parker.
