Back to the track, we have a real problem in the W200, where 90%+ of the best athletes are from the US, but only three can compete at global championships. The event lacks interest, especially in these weak heats.
Go back and look at the first one, she slipped. NO one is debating you about her technique, you are acting like you invented it. Yeah, we've all seen her do it forever now, but you need to recognize when she actually does slip, like everyone else apparently saw happen.

Yes, and watching the Olympic men’s golf I found a good compromise, where if you had more than two golfers in the world top 15, you could send four instead of two. This applied to the US. We need this in track.

I like the current method of limiting to three per country for WC and Olympics, since I’m more of an American distance fan.
Admittedly, team tactics would get kind of crazy if we had six Ethiopians and six Kenyans in a 10k final.
I’m of the opinion they are stronger than the west in distance mainly due to very strong economic and cultural factors (and probably drug use factors into that, as well.)

Good for her to make it, she's now official as an Olympian. I'm of the; you need to actually compete at the Olympics to actually be an Olympian mindset, rather than just making the team.
Congrats to McCabe and Howard for overcoming years of setbacks to get this far. Both worked hard to stay up front, but neither had enough in the end, unable to run 9:1X comfortably today. Seems likely that the two Americans through will need PBs and tactical perfection to medal. Hurdling technique aside, the heat winners looked smooth & relaxed and surely have another gear for the final.
So yesterday, Dina crashed out in the semi and ran 11.10, below her season’s best. The Eurosport commentator just informed me that her move to Texas has been a great success and she’s stronger than ever.
She ran 10.84-10.89-10.83 to finish fourth at Oregon 2022. Nothing like a bit of British spin to wake you up in the morning.

I think Dwight Stones did a pretty good job calling the NCAA (meets), except he and the gal with him in the broadcast, made their point to heavily emphasize what is their understanding to be the ‘correct’ technique in going over the water barrier (which is the America taught method to try and clear as much water as possible.)
For McCabe and Markezich’s sake, I do hope they try what the best in the event are actually doing wrt the water barriers.
since im not an avid 3000m steeplechase fan and certainly dont have in depth knowledge of techniques i was willing to give you the benefit of the doubt that you could be right and i was mistaken.
but after rewatching it is absolutely clear that her lead foot slipped/slid out much further along the barrier than she intended it to. it looks nothing like her other barrier clears.
i would be surprised if you dont agree after rewatching it yourself but then again this is the internet and the last thing i thought i would see is two people fighting over a live steeplechase heat at 5am sooooo... ;)

I’ve been up so long, I’m not sure I have much energy left to invest anymore in it, for now. But in your review, you will see her body consistently goes sideways, to help clear the barrier without losing momentum; that can look like she is slipping. It was actually on the LAST jump (where she did the same thing) that Anderson and Tollefson called out her supposed ‘slip-up’; Anderson thought she did it just to play it safe (I.e., get over without worrying about ‘speed’ and ‘technique) at that point in the race; but of course, that is her bona fide ‘technique’, which is the safest, and less-taxing, and which she has practiced countless times.
