There is a lot of running before any of this happens. If the race goes fast Yared’s odds of success greatly increase and Hocker’s odds greatly decrease. The reverse is also true.
I think the race will be fast. Jakob does not fear going hard and pushing from the gun. All of this said, I am still waiting for Yared to show a little something more. There is no doubt he is extremely good at running, but this is racing. Yared strikes me as a great runner, but not exactly a racer. He seems passive, he lacks that anger or killer instinct. I can see a situation where the race is won in 3:26-3:27.xx and yared runs an incredible time, but gets 5th.
I hope im wrong. Also I think Hobbs might be a threat. He has thrown down some good times and I really like that Nick Willis is in his ear, I always thought Willis had great savvy as a racer and I hope that those skills are transferred to Kessler.
