No mayhem. Most Republicans I know can’t wait for Trump to die so that they can go back to the more silent evil that they’ve espoused prior to his rise.
When Trump kicks the bucket, however the means, it will be a great day for Americans on both sides of the aisle.
Not to give away too much, but I've been talking with people who know a whole lot more than we do, and to say we dodged a bullet Saturday is putting it mildly.
Do you have any idea how different this exact moment would be if that shooter hit his target?
Im guessing there would have been a massive amount of outrage. But no cities would have burned or their stores been looted.
If the unfortunate assisination of a leftist political leader would occur, Democrats would surely loot. In fact, to Democrats, any reason to get free stuff is a good reason.
I know the country would have had one less bad choice on the ballot if that bullet hit the spot. I'm not saying I wish it would have but it would have been a net gain for society if it had.

Funny how the talk of Civil War always comes from the right anything they don't like happening will apparently result in violence. When RvW was overturned, I didn't hear any talk of civil war from the left, yet any mention of altering the 2nd amendment results in a bunch of gun toting toddlers losing their minds and threatening violence. I cannot stand DJT, but would never want to see him assassinated, but if it had happened, it would not have been the fault of the left, it's the fault of the person that did it. Remember your favorite argument about it being a "mental health" issue?
A bunch of inbred rednecks with ARs and trucks is not going to scare anyone, the vast majority of this country has common sense... oh... and actual weapons, technology and the brains to know how to use them effectively. Once the GPS and internet SATs are blocked, you hillbillies will be running around in circles with CB radios trying to figure out which way is up.

Many of them have survival skills and can live off the land if we were to lose power/infrastructure, etc. Many of them know how to hunt, fish, forage for food. Some are ex-LEO or current-LEO and military. They aren't to be messed with. Never underestimate others.

Complete nonsense. Survival skills are great, but how is that going to accomplish anything? Hiding in their prepper bunkers eating their patriot food that they have been scammed into buying and have saved up, isn't exactly the way to overthrow the government. The US government would cut everything and they would have to survive for a long time because, as I stated, their internet would be gone, their capability to communicate would be blocked, their access to banking would cease as all networks would no longer work. They would not be able to pay for anything other than in cash and that would soon become useless. Gas, food and other deliveries would stop. If they want to start a civil war and "live off the land," hunt, fish and do whatever, that's not exactly a great strategy to attach Washington DC and win a war. The US government would reduce them to a 3rd world country as far as capability, it would be as if they were back in 1861, only with more powerful rifles. Unless the fine folks at Red Neck Inc have been producing some f-22s and B2 stealth bombers, I'd say they would soon be in a world of hurt.
Troops disobeying orders also isn't an issue because no ground troops would be sent, this isn't the 1860s. A constant and violent air campaign by pilots who would have no issue following orders would quickly obliterate all of you and your little trucks. Even if the pilots disobeyed, the constant barrage of cruise missiles from the surrounding carriers parked in the Atlantic and the gulf wouldn't feel very good. In 1861, both sides had access to the same general categories of weapons, that's not even remotely close to being the situation now. The fact that you actually believe what you said is frightening. Behold the Dunning–Kruger Effect in living color!

1. In the case of another Civil War, it will obviously come down to whichever side gets the military. I think it's pretty difficult to prognosticate that without knowing what would directly lead to this imaginary war.
2. My initial reaction is that not much would've happened if Trump had died. However, a small part of me thinks that the security was so bush league that a really strong argument would have been made that it was an inside job and that Trump was betrayed by his security. I think a Civil War is a giant stretch, but I don't think isolated, ugly skirmishes are unthinkable.

The republicans need to become a party for upper middle class (and wealthier) whites that go to good schools and colleges, and holiday at Long Island and in nice coastal towns in Europe.
We can throw a few bones to the pro lifers and the people who think their life is sh$& because of immigrants instead of their own shortcomings every now and then to keep them voting for us.
But white trash, red necks and obese middle Americans should not be having a significant say in the direction of the Republican Party, this country ought to be governed by those who own this country, and the Republican Party is the party for the wealthy, for the establishment, the elite.
