But is that why they fired him? Or was it because he confronted kids multiple times, while on the track, rather than work with their coaches and the OSAA to get a rule change?
I have a feeling the rule will be changed in the next few years, but it won't happen by going after one trans kid at a time. We need a change in the rules, not a one-by-one approach towards trans-girls.
And in the meantime we need civility, kindness, and willingness to explain the problem to non-athletes who don't understand why "just let them run" is the wrong approach. Half the people I talk to don't even see why this is a problem. Telling them they are "woke idiots" won't help them understand why this rule needs to change.
