Is Athletics Australia Corrupt and is Nic Bideau the leader?

What did FTK say about IRP? I’m guessing it was something to do with IRP discussing the Olympic marathon selections, but what specifically was said 8 minutes into FTK.

They mentioned they have people letting them know what's said on the IRP patreon feed and so they know people were peeved about the marathon series 'road to' going to FTK. They had a good whinge, said that they don't copy anything, that IRP shouldn't have continually 'railed' those girls if they wanted to have them on and that Brett has the best access to them 'because I'm actually on the team'. A fairly gross awkward spray from those fellas. Lost a listener here.

FTK weren’t doing themselves any favours there. What a bunch of losers.

the funniest moment on ftk was during a training advice Q&A when Joel said 'I'm not a coach so I'm not sure...' and then 15min later he was talking about his coaching.

FTK are dopes and abrasive to the ears, not in the same league as Inside Running.

AA is a disaster. Up until recently Bideau and Didyck were endurance leads employed by AA, while also acting as personal coaches and/or agents for Australian athletes. It’s a massive conflict of interest.

What's more shocking: Jane Fleming is the president, or that Australia's biggest athletics meeting is named after the guy who switched her urine sample? Is there a chance these 2 things are related? Or is it just a coincidence?

Love them asking the rhetorical question "how could we do a podcast without talking about our training weeks? There's only so much you can do with a running podcast!"
Basically every man and his dog has a running podcast now, and only IRP and Inside Jogging go through their training weeks.

Also for a bit more background: Joel launched the podcast with Brett after being paid to be on a patreon series of IRP.

Inside Running is a good podcast. I like all three guys. I’d recommend it to hobbyjoggers and serious runners alike. FTK isn’t a good podcast.

Inside Running actually acknowledges international results i.e. new world records. FTK have zero visibility of anything achieved by a non-Australian, it’s essentially just a podcast talking about MTC athletes. Joel strikes me as someone that is unaware a world outside of Australia exists.

There's no good content in FTK- giggles, 8xk, windy, sore tummy.

So the arrogance of them tearing down IRP here - even Robbo's inference they aren't good runners so have less cred- was breathtakingly arrogant and dumb. Biting the hand that fed them all.

I actually liked the first season of FTK.

It was a little different and you could tell that they were trying really hard to become good podcasters. There was no self-adulation and the inte4vieww were a different style to what I'd become accustomed to on IRP.

Then after Brett broke 2.07, it became un-listenable. And Brett didn't change but Joel did. It was almost like having an Australian record holder gave them a stamp of authority that they could now be a lot more critical of other runners and athletes, only bring MTC on, and talk non-stop about their coaching service and non-running related stuff.

It's a shame because there was definitely room for a second elite running podcast in Australia, but I've moved on- and seemingly, so have many others.

The giggles make it intolerable.

Just had my last little listen of Joel's 32 min 10km run on the weekend. Never forget IRP paid you for a year on the 'road to nowhere'.

How quickly they forget. Nobody would know who JTW is without IRP. IRP promote the running community, FTK promote themselves. Also, what a surprise that two MTC boys don't appreciate the corrupt selection process being criticised. It is not unusual for the beneficiaries of the corruption to not see a problem and to take offence to any critique. IR have only ever critiqued AA, never heard them criticise the girls, in fact they have gone out of their way to always maintain that they feel bad for the 6 involved in the process.
