Klecker actually got injured at the end of last summer. Well first off he boomed big time at worlds (was it heat?) Then pretty sure he had to get a cortisone shot in his foot and pulled out of Pre. So this started 10 months ago?
Then he trained fall and looked not great in his indoor races (he didn’t look bad but a step down from last year) and boom injured again and out for olympics.
(Granted, if he was completely healthy and had the standard in the 10, he still may have not made it this year with healthy fisher, kicker woody and new kid on the block Nico. But we will never know. Don’t think there’s a chance he’d make the 5k doubling back as he was like 9th when he tried to do it last year)
Hope he can take his time getting back now that Olympic pressure is off and not end up in a bad injury cycle.
As a hobby jogger, I have to say the amount of On shoes I see on other hobby joggers feet and at races is next to none. I'm guessing most of their sales come from cross-fitters and/or people who don't run but want to look like they do.

It's a trend among soccer moms. It won't last, we all hope because they look like ugly Frankenstein shoes. No runner I know wears them because there are obviously better performing brands out there. Never rated very high.
They’re all ugly as sin. Couldn’t pay me enough to wear them.
The On race kits are just as ugly. The ugly mint green weird pattern has just been updated with the most unflattering peach and brown. Vomit! Was there a competition among the On designers for “who can pick the most disgusting colors”?
Had a couple of kids do things last year - one sprained her ankle twice in a few weeks (first on a trail root and then on the side of a road) which took her out for the season, then got hurt at school twice (broken foot and then a stress fracture. A boy hurt his hip stepping on a track rail, didn't fully rehab it, then it came back 2 months later (in XC season) when stepping awkwardly to avoid a dog. That is all it takes to start an injury cycle.
Is it common for long distance runners to just tear their meniscus without falling/an event? Can it be a stress injury? I have also attributed it to falling/hurdling. Asking because I am unfamiliar with the distance runner/knee tear relationship
Alicia claims it just popped on a run one day. Tore the entire root of her meniscus? How to you address/diagnose what cause it? Just lack of strength? At least with fractures there are several factors to check.

Is what happened to centro as well?
Maybe just a freak thing?
It happened to me. I was doing 30 min easy, and something went pop in my right knee. I walk/hobbled home, my knee blew up like a balloon, and I missed most of four months.

Same here. Was just doing some easy strides on a dirt field in the middle of any easy run. Felt a pop in the left knee. Felt like a punctured tire. Knee swelled up bigly. Underwent endoscopic meniscectomy. That was 29 years ago. No knee problems since. Underwent endoscopic surgery for Haglund's late last year. Now back up to 40+ mpw in Xero Shoes Speedforce.
I said while back ON is beginning to look like BTC and all of you got mad.
Lmao ONE season that hasn't lived up to expectations and everyone jumps onto the bashing bandwagon while ignoring the success they've already had, most objective LRC thread
