Meh, he is kinda of an ass, really. Actually, all the guys on OAC are except Nuguse, who is a real gem of a human. The girls too, except for Monson are obnoxious as well. I simply don't feel badly for people are who aren't good people. I kinda feel badly that Dathan has to coach this group, though. I've just heard stories from those in the know about how horrible the dynamic is, how spoiled and arrogant the guys are.

Sorry if this has been covered before, but the deal is that the top 3 trials finishers with the standard or ranking get to go, correct? So hypothetically if we had only 3 guys with the standard then they could just walk the 10K race, come in last, and they would still be selected since no one above them has the standard or ranking, correct? I suppose the risk with that would be that one of the upper finishers has a month or two to try and go out and get the standard, but are there even any 10K races left between now and the olympics? Seems pretty unlikely. So if I’m either Fisher, Nico, or Woody, all I really need to do is make sure I beat Chelimo at the trials. Everyone else is not even an options. Correct me if I’m wrong here.

He's way too big of a dude for the marathon. The fact that he is even as good at the 10K as he is give his size is remarkable. Him and Ollie Hoare are nearly identical builds, and Hoare is a 1,500 guy! Last time I checked, there isn't anybody even threatening top 10s in major marathons at 160 lbs, let alone contending in them.
