I don’t think Jakob’s main agenda is to highlight some excuse or even explanation when he loses. (Although he does excactly that the few times he thinks he should have won). So in most situations Jakob is, IMO, a good loser. Old and new Examples: 4 different U20 Worlds events -no explanation or excuses at all (pleased with his placing in 3 of them). And Saturday’s loss against Kerr -Jakob clearly acknowledged that Kerr is the best current miler, and that he did a dominant win. And he himself was clearly satisfied with his 2 meters behind Kerr in 3.45 mid… Nothing to excuse about a race he was very satisfied with per ce. Much more important for Jakob to tell that he thinks he can be on top in a couple of months…
