That's cool that you've been to China before. Doesn't really make you an expert on the inner dealings of the CCP, but it's something I guess.
I'm not saying the US is always right, there's many massive mistakes that we've made. Plenty of times when we've been in the wrong, including current times.
However, the US places a higher value on transparency and human rights. There's also more checks and balances here currently. I'm going to always be suspicious of the US, but I'm probably always going to be more suspicious of China. (Under present circumstances)
