This is a good take.
The argument that "a pro athlete would never get ripped off like this, or give a friend access to his money, or would miss the moneyif someone stole it" runs smack dab into the reality that exactly those things have happened over and over and over again to professional athletes and entertainers.
A lot of guys have lost tens and tens of millions, let alone a little more than four.
I don't know what happened in this case, but I do know that guys get ripped off by friends, family, and financial advisers all the time.
