Nations up and down western hemisphere, individuals are detained and questioned based on fitting a few demographic profiles, good or bad. E G fits the demographic profile of a typical letsrun pro-Ukraine fanatic. U.S. is trying to ruin Russia as I type. There is a war several hundred miles from Moscow. At a minimum, E G did not do well in his interview with Russian authorities. Is it the position of supporters of E G on thread that E G is 100% innocent of espionage? Is it the position of majority of posters on this thread that it is okay for E G to be a pro-Ukrainian spy and he should be released anyway?
He's either 100% innocent or 100% guilty. There's no way he's a spy as an occasional side hobby. I think anyone with sense has to acknowledge it's possible he's a spy. But I think probably he isn't. If he were truly a spy, I doubt Russia would be willing to release him. (And they do seem to be willing, albeit at high cost.) I guess I give him the benefit of the doubt and feel for him either way. Please consider that if he is a spy, he's an American patriot. (Spying for the US? Possible. Spying for Ukraine? No way.)
