Good call, old man. Blonde on blonde, which is a wicked good album, has the following tracks:
Rainy Day Women #12 & 35
Pledging My Time
Visions Of Johanna
One Of Us Must Know
I Want You
Stuck Inside Of Mobile With The Memphis Blues Again
Leopard-Skin Pill-Box Hat
Just Like A Woman
Most Likely You Go Your Way
Temporary Like Achilles
Absolutely Sweet Marie
Fourth Time Around
Obviously 5 Believers
Sad Eyed Lady Of The Lowlands
My fav's would be Johanna, Stuck inside Mobile, Pill-box hat, Just Like a Woman (Stevie Nicks does a great cover of that one) and Sad eyed lady.
If you need any other bob recommendations, you just let me know.
Pete, thanks for sharing that...Johanna is my fav on that album as well..we had a music chain go under and all CDs were 50 to 75% off....made some nice buys...
Ah yes, OMBTS, 'tis a great album indeed. I can remember sneaking into my older brother's room to listen to it when I was about 11 years old. It was a far cry from the New Seekers, the Monkees and the Cowsills.
How did I know you listened to the Monkees? When I was living in Monterey, Muchael Nesmith(sp) who also lived in the area showed a little film he put together and showed it at a local record store. It was like a Monkees song on their show and he called it a "Music video". This was long before the invention of MTV. So we have him to thank for MTV. I am in the middle of Dylan's book Chronicles. It is a slow read but I'll make it though. Have you read 'Shakey' Neil Young's biography?
I don't know, O'Neill. I'm inclined to agree with George:
I would have to agree with George ove a monkee.
I got my fifth week in a row over 50 miles, but it took some doing with work and family craziness. I had a couple of longer tempo runs in there, though no real long run. We had some gorgeous weather last week, which made the difficulty getting out to run even more bothersome. Yesterday we got 10-plus inches of snow. I hate running indoors, but it looks like I'll be there for most of the week.
Hi guys; in a thread on "identify that runner (Boston 1983)", Gary Fanelli and Benji Durden made responses, so I indulged in an invitation to this thread. Since this thread wasn't on the front page, Gary kindly replied with his own subject line. I thought I'd graft his info here as to facilitate the transition.
(btw dude is still FAST and enthused!)
From Gary:
" I left American Samoa at the end of 1988 after serving as the National Coach to that Nation as it was their first time they were allowed to participate in the Olympic Games and needed some organization there.
I now have a 10 year old son, Gary Fanelli Jr. who lives in Honolulu with my dear 2nd ex-wife Connie.
I am in Philadelphia area again, this is where my son Gary was born.
I still run alot and coach runners.
I don't put much emphasis on beng competitive now as I did. It is not important. I had a long and good career as a runner and give thanks to God for being able to have done what I did.
I do run easily though and it has had me ranked over the years by running times mag as a top master or honorable mention..... last year at 54 I had run 4:43 road mile in Bryn Mawr Running Com Mile , 16:27 at 5k and 57 for 10 miles Broad St. Run and 1:15:19 at Phila 1/2 MAr.....so that is quite fun.
Ah yes I am a Grandfather too as my 1st daughter Celeste has a 3 yr old !! LIFE IS GOOD.... I count my b= many blessings... KOOL !!"
Rodney D.,
I quaffed a few Brahma's and Skol's, then headed for the Chipiroska's (sp?)to help massage the beef down to the belly. At least one meal each day was beef oriented, sometimes two. Seems there is a beef restaurant on every corner. Just read that Brazil is becoming the world's second largest beef exporter.
Of interest..second largest chain to McDonalds is Habib's, middle east fast food which is very, very popular (obviously if they are #2). Didn't try it though. My customer said a branch/store has opened in Miami.
A wealth of trivia.......
