Just statistically d3 women will have less depth than men, especially so on relays. Women are allowed more scholarships than men at D1 D2, so more women are on those teams, and more of those women can be on scholarship.
Ie if top 1000 men get d1 scholarships
The next 1000 get d2 scholarships
Man 2001 will have equal financial options at all 3 divisions and is significantly more likely to go d3.
But for women
Top 1500 women get d1 scholarships
Next 1500 get d2 scholarships
D3 starts getting real consideration at the 3001st woman.
So just kinda statistically the d3 women won't have the same caliber as men, and starting 1000 spots lower than men, they will have less depth, reflected especially on relays.
Top d3 men's recruits are roughly equivalent to women's d2 recruits because of the scholarship rules.
