Nikki cashing a big medal bonus from their sponsor while insecure men getting triggered by her identifying with a 4 letter word instead of 3, and posting on letsrun anonymously about it.

Please spare us, usa usa. Congratulations to Nikki for nabbing the silver. But please don't accuse us of hatred simply because we disagree with the trans-insanity.
Mu would be crazy to run the 1500M, she is not going to beat the Ethiopians whereas she can win the Gold in the 800M.....
Kersee is wacko.
In Paris the women's 800 final is on the 5th and the 1500 repechages on the 7th with the final not until the 10th. The schedule is very favorable for a double. Why not go for it? The worst that can happen is that she doesn't medal or even make the final. But it won't tarnish her performances in the 800.
I always wondered how the gender neutral pronouns work in other languages? The french announcer called Nikki "elle" so her because there is simply no neutral in that language. In my native german we have a neutral "das" but no gender neutral person actually uses this because we use it only for things and no person wants to be adressed like a thing.
Genuinely curious how they imagine this to work outside their english/US bubble?
I was more shocked at how this race unfolded than anything else all weekend. I assumed Haylom would take it out followed by Welteji and Hailu. It would remain that way until Welteji passed Haylom, and then during an all out sprint Hailu would again get the best of Welteji.
I have no idea what happened to Haylom. I almost believe Welteji didn't put herself out there because it would have been mentally damaging to get beat in the same fashion by Hailu again.
Instead Welteji can try to pretend today never happened and focus on outdoors.
Hailu's transition from 1500 indoors to outdoors will be one of the intriguing storylines this year.
Maybe more important than their placing, Nikki and Emily gained invaluable racing experience. That was a physical race! Both US runners responded well tactically. Athing is great, but she is losing opportunities to sharpen her racing chops! Excellent run!
This is what the indoors provides. Racing practice. Seeing what tactics others employ and learning from that. Why so many athletes are avoiding the indoors this year is bizarre.
Paris is months and months away and you can recover from an 800/1500m very quickly. I think some of our British athletes made a mistake missing these championships.

Many languages omit subjects entirely but when calling races it is infinitely easier to just refer to athletes by last name “Hiltz going wide, Hiltz pushing that last 100… it’s gonna be close… a silver medal!” Is not hard to imagine in English. People thing saying an athlete’s name over and over is awkward and you could do it awkwardly but that would just make you a bad announcer. The sport suffers enough from no one knowing athletes names, use every chance you can get to put their names out there is my advice. Languages with no gender neutral, yeah we could dive into how nonbinary individuals could be served better in those cases but I don’t think it’s a difficult barrier her with calling the race.
Silver medal also known as second place can also be termed first loser.
With that said she did run a strong race. She just ran out of real estate and she couldn't quite catch The other woman. She did get an indoor PR. Although I believe her outdoor time is better at least her equivalent in the mile is definitely a better time for her.
How many silvers at the world level do you have? Did you go home devastated?
