That's a legit question. Put Muir in that 1500 and she's probably favourite, second favourite at worst, but with a very good shot at gold. In the 3000, she was never going to be able to compete with Tsegay. I guess she can say this is all about building for Paris but it's a medal passed up because I don't for a second think that both Hiltz and Mackay are beating Muir over the 1500.
At least Muir was there. So many less accomplished British athletes slipped these games, people like Katie Snowden, Max Burgin, Matt Stonier, Elliot Giles, George Mills, Daniel Rowden. None of them have any accolades and could have been competitive in Glasgow. Massive missed opportunity for those athletes.
