Nico Young wins Big Sky mile in 4:01 followed by Las Heras and Quax. Looked like a practice run. just getting team points and saving their legs for the 3000.
Young is also entered in the 800 and 3000. if NAU clinches team title by then (3000 is one of the last events of the day) I wonder if he even runs it.

Wonder why they're running Nico so much at a mostly inconsequential meet where they can win both titles with their distance squads alone.
He's the guy on the team who least needs to run at the moment.
Las Heras, Quax, Hasty, Sahlman, Nyoak and (recovering) Bosley is enough to sweep basically every event from 800 to 5000 with like 1 or 2 Montana State guy slipped in. That should be enough to win Big Sky without having to run Nico in 3 events.

It’s a workout for him. Not like he’s been racing much.

so far he's only run the mile and an 800 - not much of an effort for him. he didn't run 5000 last night and I think he'll only run 3000 today if they need team points.
So where is your shade about an underwhelming performance, FadtTuihy?
Well for one thing it was not an underwhelming performance. She left Appleton and Bush liki they were jogging. For another thing the only shade I threw was directed at the poster who thought that 4:31 was a great performance, with which I disageed.

Uhh, let’s review the facts:
On yet another troll thread trashing Parker Valby, saying she went home “DEVASTATED”, someone counters with a relatively benign post saying, “It was great to see her out there racing. She was way in front and ran 4:31 solo. Very strong performance for a 5,000 meter runner who hasn’t raced since early December and was so far ahead.”, to which you replied that poster was wearing rose-colored glasses. You piled on in the manner of the topic of the thread.
