Not sold on the wall, but agree with you about the choices for President. America has to be better than that - 2016, 2020, and now 2024 are horrific choices for a number of reasons. American people should be extremely upset that it has come to this - the dregs of political possibilities. Really says that the political system is somewhat broken, what with the extreme partisanship in Congress as well, and doubts about objectivity on the SC. I don't know the answer, but at this rate there is a danger of slipping into 3rd world status (politically anyway) if it doesn't get better.

Have you been to the border wall? I have several times doing engineering work along the border. Do you think it actually stops humans from crossing the border?

It’s a shame that the Trump wall hasn’t been built. He can easily turn this beautiful wall into a fine enterprise by charging admission fee from immigrants and share the profit with Mexico. The border towns will benefit greatly from booming tourism, just like the economic impact of the Great Wall of China. Or we can put slides and rollercoasters along the wall, making Disney and five flags jealous. The same people who are often talking about inflation being a big problem will gladly pay $399 for a pair of shoes where the primary reason to own them is the person wants them as a badge of loyalty to be a member of the Trump cult.

Except: the Jan 6 treasonists SHOULD remain in prison and yet they're the only ones Trump wants to help (pardon).
And, realistically, what's wrong with Biden? He passed a BIPARTISAN infrastructure bill (that no one seems to know about) that put Americans back to work. He's trying to fight climate change and move to renewable energy which the republicans keep shooting down. If he was a more dynamic speaker he'd have high approvals. Yes, he's boring.
