1941 was when the U.S. began military action against Japan. They didn’t set foot in Europe until D-Day in 1944. How did the U.S. affect the outcomes in Stalingrad in 1942/43 and the siege of Leningrad?
Starting after the end of 1942, the Soviets no longer lost any battles to the Germans. Stalin was wanted an invasion of occupied France but that was only because he wanted some other countries to have some skin in the conflict.
The US was supplying the Allied Powers as early as 1940.
Pointing to D-Day as the beginning of US influence on military outcomes in WWII is either disingenuous or ignorant.
It is better to actually correct a poster instead of stating disingenuous and ignorance. U.S. landed on islands near Italy, summer, 1943.
The group psychology demonstrated in the thread is interesting.
The same posters who posted for two years stating U.S. needs to fight for Ukraine, 2022 to today are the same ones saying: If U.S. did not enter WW2 on the side of Soviet Union, Germany would have taken over the world.
Germany had a population of less than 80 million, 1938. The same people who believe (or used to believe) Ukraine with a population of 37 million could defeat Russia are saying on this thread, Germany, with a population of less than 80 million, 1938 would have taken over the word. One would think some of you Ukraine experts would hush regarding international affairs.
Patton said we fought the Wrong Enemy and that in 50 years, USA would have corruption and Degeneracy, Wether or not you think we fought the wrong enemy or not it is clear Corruption and Degeneracy have skyrocketed in the USA
Just look at how many LGBTQ freaks we have trying to sterilize and convert children. Google the child who was forced to participate in a pride parade. Then look at how much sexual degeneracy and drugs goes on at this gay pride parades.

You do realise the country is no longer run by the Puritans?
first off, germany declared war on the US, not vice versa. Germany did it first. In 1941. What should the US have done? Just ignored Germany while they sank our ships etc? The choice was not ours to make.
second, if the US hadn't entered the war W europe would have been under germany's thumb for decades - an east germany/north korea situation. Impoverishing the US and leaving us with next to zero allies. (A m'aga dream situation!)
third, if the US hadn't entered the war, germany would have had time to get the atomic bomb. Then what? Not great.

It is even better to stop being disingenuous and ignorant.
You can no longer pound your chest and pretend to be a successful Ukrainian military scientist so you jump on this thread and hope all who know more about WW2 than you will not post.
The OP is a buffoon. Setting aside all the historical inaccuracies already identified, the fact is that America's World War II spending was the single most important factor in pulling the United States out of the Great Depression into the most successful economic boom in American history.

I started this thread as a complete troll job but amazing people took it seriously.
The people arguing that Hitler would have stopped after Poland if the UK didn’t get involved are actually hilarious.
Makes you think about Ukraine.
In that case, you're good at amusing yourself, but otherwise just ignorant.
Nazi Germany didn't want western Poland as a stepping stone for some crazy plan to conquer France/Britain. It wanted Prussia's lost land back, like Danzig/Gdansk. If the UK and France hadn't declared war, it actually may have ended there, except for a bit more grabbing of traditionally German land by Berlin. That's what nationalism is; they wanted a land with only Germans in it, and preferably all the Germans.
Europeans have a way of letting things spin out of control, just like the start of WW1. Don't let your reason be clouded by irrelevant notions of the good or evil of the various belligerents.
