some fast times in W mile - Asekol of Al 4:26.47 for 3rd with Maatoug on her heels in 4:29.22
#3 collegiate indoor time ever. Could you imagine if Wiley was running college this year? Record would be destroyed by 5 seconds or more. She can crush Asekol in a mile race. I think Ramsden might take it down this weekend at Millrose. She is certainly better than Asekol in the mile and will have plenty of company in the sub 4:25 range.

I'm not so sure. Asekol beat Ramsden in XC and also has faster 800 pr I think.

4:26.47 is 4:26.47. It’s worth better than Ramsden has ever run for 1500. I’m guessing Ramsden will beat Asekol this year but I wouldn’t blithely declare “she is certainly better than Asekol in the mile” after today.
Peter Maru of Arkansas is entered in the mens 5000m. He represented Uganda with Kiplimo and Cheptegi at worlds in 2022 with a pb of 13:07 and I think was added to their roster in the past week. What the hell is he about to do this weekend??
Finished fifth in 1,500m (3:41.45) representing Uganda at the 2021 World U2o Championships in Nairobi ... Set career best of 3:40.04 in Nairobi two months prior to World U20 meet placing 11th while racing in the Kenya Olympic...
Saw her holding her side and tell her coach she got a side stitch with 400m to go. She looked good through 2600m.
Hope it's nothing serious and glad she at least posted a solid time for Indoor Nats.
It's unfortunate that McCabe missed that one, a race that seemed tailor-made for her: the leaders running smooth and even, clicking off a string of 35s, then Ryan slamming the final 200 in 31.
Kelati, Yee, Ryan -- a nice recent trajectory for UA Dark Sky. Anyone know if they ever train together?

So many outstanding, fast mile and 3k times this year. I am kind of surprised Asekol ran quite this fast tbh but maybe I shouldn't be. But I don't think anyone can say Ramsden is better for sure yet.
FL has no more meets until SEC. Is Valby just skipping the regular season or injured?
