VPN? I've seen similar posts about gun violence in certain cities and I'd be surprised if OP wasn't banned (especially the ones that go beyond dog whistles) but a VPN would allow him to evade the filters
Just yesterday Moderator threatened to dox me over a post I made MONTHS ago. The post was a factual account of something I d rather not get into right now. Then yesteday something happened that caused this Moderator to threaten to DOX me. That’s not right. What can be done

That is a largely unmoderated thread in the sense we are not actively read it but review all posts reported. We generally don't like posters imitating others. The rules apply to everyone whether they are members or not.
If someone is an off topic threads makes an alteration to a name as a joke we might leave it up. But please feel free to report it to me.

Why does the 'official covid vaccine thread' exist?
It goes back to Covid when there were people starting multiple threads on the vaccine. We decided to try and get all the topic in one thread where people could say what they wanted instead of clogging the boards with other threads.
Why are politics or social issues threads with INTELLIGENT and THOUGHT PROVOKING discussion from all sides deleted, but obviously troll dominated and inflammatory political threads allowed to have long lives?
ADD. As well as the only ONE COVID THREAD rule being cast aside. (The new threads are always started by trolls.)
ADD 2. And not discussion allowed about what Israel is doing to Gaza. (LRC appears to support Israel regardless of any atrocity they commit.)

The Nico poster now is not acting in any good faith at all and his bans are meant to be permanent but there are ways around bans and filters. It's sad this person does this.

Except, that recent ones are left up and get multiple pages of posts before they are dealt with. It is a bad look to delete posts in those threads while the thread remains in place.

Please send me examples of any threads at . We often restore deleted threads.
I don't take screen shots of threads, nor can I find something already deleted. In general, there are many good threads where people with firsthand experience or thoughtful arguments chime in and the thread vanishes without a trace. Why? Likely, some moderator didn't like it because it ran counter to their own personal biases, or it got reported by a user for those reasons and the mods just got rid of it for the sake of expediency.
It is sad that a site that used to proudly proclaim having a very educated user base doesn't honor intelligent discussion. It seems that countless troll and shock threads about big city crime rates, promotion of conspiracy theories, unsubstantiated gossip, and performative attention seeking are allowed to flourish.
Is moderating so difficult that one cannot differentiate treasure from trash? Or, does it completely come down to what the mods want to see for their own amusement?
If there was a thread where people for whatever reason were discussing AIDS policy and who got AIDS then you could say something like this. Otherwise it's generally off topic.
And with the other "Gays are going to hell" posts we are cracking down on this type of post.

This probably won't change anything, but if you click on "report post," there is no bullet point for "Non-Running topic posted under "Running." You should probably add that to the "report post" popup.

That person gets off on trolling. Homophobia is not the reason they keep posting their nonsense. That it gets a rise out of people and gets their thread gets deleted brings them joy. So, you will never stop they type of troll, especially when they have special ways to spook they IPs. VPN use is only part of their way around bans, just as SPAM phone calls have methods to spoof their actual IDs and locations. Using a cell phone to post is likely one tool they use.
