She can coach her sister, it's her sister. It's way more appropriate than Jerry and Shalane continuing to coach her while she serves a ban. Or frankly, any other coach.
What's not appropriate is her bringing Shelby around her college team for a "motivational talk" like she did at UC-Santa Barbara, forcing her athletes to sit through a talk and keep company with a drug cheat. It puts her team in an unfair position.

Technically she's still a "current doper" as her ban isn't quite up yet. After that she gets to start from scratch and will then be upgraded to "former doper".

No. She gets tested and has been negative so she is not doping. She is serving a ban for having doped in the past. A meth head can go to jail for 5 years and go through withdrawal and rehab and be clean for almost the entire 5 years that she is in prison.

No one should coach any doper during their ban, and definitely no professional coach. A ban is not just for racing, but also for training with a team. That's why she pretended all the time to coincidentally bump into her old teammates on the road as well as on the track, and that's also why GDS left BTC. Not all athletes want to be close to a banned doper.

Agreed, true dat. It's a very bad look for the university employing her that their coach is also openly coaching an athlete serving a ban. Sister or not. Seems to be a repeated lack of judgment when coupled with the "motivational talk" story. If she wants to coach her sister, then she should make that her full-time gig and leave Iowa. Sounds like everyone would be better for it!

Shelby is no such thing. She is no different than any other elite runner in this country and cleaner than the Africans. I hope Trump pardons her as soon as he is back in office. Free Shelby!

If you go to basically any location except the downtown one, pancheros is great! No idea how the one on campus is so consistently subpar compared to the rest

Shayla posting Shelbo workouts as Insta stories shows she knows what she is doing is wrong as the stories are short and don't stay like a post. If she was genuine she would do an actual post. Why Iowa has her on staff while she is actively coaching a known druggie serving a suspension is beyond the pale.
