One would think, at least in terms of past conventions, that an NIL/Pro sponsor would want to see Blanks in their pro kit, rather than his Harvard uniform, at the ‘24 OlyTrials.
But maybe his sponsor actually can see a possible(?) marketing benefit in seeing him stay in the Harvard uniform for a while longer.
Can you imagine what it would be like to see Graham Blanks at the 2024 Olympics in Paris running in a Harvard kit?
That might be special to see Blanks competing at the Trials in the Harvard kit, no?
Yes, along with drummer Robert Plant, singer Jimmy Page, and bassist John Bonham.
Respectfully, John Paul Jones can play a lot of things including the bass, piano, slide guitar and mandolin. He can play the guitar exceptionally well.
That was my first thought too and if the question is who the best runner from an Ivy school is then Shorter is the obvious answer and there are others whose post Ivy careers did more than Blanks has done so far. But if the question is about who the best Ivy runner was while they were actually in school I'd say Blanks. And if we include women I think Lynn Jennings probably ranks higher than Blanks at least for now.
Jennings is among the greatest US runners ever. But her undergraduate accomplishments are modest compared to her post-collegiate ones. She’s not in Blanks’ league, if we’re only considering what she did while at school.

John Paul Jones is to guitar playing as Greg is to piano playing.
Andy “Drew” Bernard, Cornell, was 11th at Michael Scott's Dunder Mifflin Scranton Meredith Palmer Memorial Celebrity Rabies Awareness Pro-Am Fun-Run Race For the Cure.

Since when can you compete in your college singlet at the Olympics?
Without Frank Shorter, you probably wouldn't have this web site or a whole lot of other running based businesses. His victory in the 1972 Olympics ignited an American interest in running and caused the end of the tennis boom.
Revisiting this thread. I think it’s safe to say, after Graham Blanks leaves Harvard, no one will win the ncaa cross country title, break the all time indoor ncaa 5k record, make an Olympic final and then win another ncaa cross country title, all in the span of one year.

Not so sure.
Yes for XC
However, he only has one NCAA medal on the track (silver at 5000m)
He did hold the indoor 5000m NCAA record, but only for a few weeks

Definitely Bonthron, while a junior at Princeton he set the American Mile record (also under the previous WR mark). The next year he set the WR for the 1500m, that is in addition to several NCAA championships over the same years. He won the Sullivan award in recognition of these achievements.
Adam Dixon's name appears in the Harvard track record book seven times for various indoor and outdoor efforts at 800 meters, 880 yards, 1,000 meters, 1,500 meters and 1 mile
good call! His acceleration was something to behold. Would seem to be loping along in the back of the pack in an indoor 800, maybe leaving it too long.....and then slingshot past the entire field in the blink of an eye. Didn't love cross-country IIRC, but on the track he was remarkable.
