You’re trying to rosy up the words.

“one time finding” = - She got caught once but she likely used it more times. She would be the unluckiest person in the whole world for her to have a random test in her first week of doping.

“of a low amount of ingested nandrolone” = The amount she had in her system was system was high enough register as doping and not meat ingestion. In fact, for that amount of nandrolone to be in her system it had to be intentional, scientifically.

“in the off-season.” = The off season is absolutely the best time to dope. Doping in season would mean using PEDs while concurrently running meets that have testing, which would be silly. Off season random testing was established for this reason.

Mostly because posters here assume sprinters are doping. They think distance runners fall in a different category. They think the top runners can be competitive clean for some reason. It is getting harder to believe that with all the busts now though.

All top athletes use drugs.Shelby is no exception.Most of the runners she beats are dirty,too.

Does anyone know what the testing protocol is for athletes with bans? Like in Shelby’s case is she still required to be tested regularly during her 4 year ban to make sure she is keeping clean or does she not get tested again until she has completed her 4 years?

Huh? Some were happy, others were not. I wasn't happy to see that cheater back, and I recall him receiving load boos at several occasions. I won't be happy to see Shelburrito back either, but ok, rules are rules.

Saying she used nandrolone before is personal speculation.

The term "low" actually comes from WADA. They call values below 10 ng/ml, like Houlihan's, "in the low ng/ml range", and this low range is "usual" "following consumption of the edible parts of non-castrated male pigs" "although higher concentrations have been exceptionally reported". In fact values more than 20x Houlihan's, from pork offal ingestion, have been reported.

Your conclusion about "intentional" is incorrect and not how WADA deems intent.

Given nandrolone's low bio-availability by ingestion, as most of it will be filtered out in "first-pass", never making it into the blood, it's not clear any season is "the best time".

The original claim was "she ... cheated clean runners out of Worlds and Olympics", which also looks like personal speculation.
