Seems more like a workout for a mile race than a marathon?
Another failure on LRC on understanding physiology. A workout that can benefit a marathoner can benefit a miler, and vice versa. I don't understand your comment.
It looked like to me like this might have been 3 sets with the 4th rep in each set being harder/faster (2:40, 2:41, 2:43 for reps 4, 8, and 12, respectively).
In reply to post #14: Isn't 2:40 to 2:51 a really large variation across the 12?
