I have nothing but sympathy for her and her family. She's can't breathe on her own, so this is a very serious thing. Her disease is characterized as a "rare pneumonia" (could be Covid, I guess, but no one here is in a position to make any diagnosis). Uninsured medical expenses would likely exceed greatly the $50,000 that has allegedly been raised for her. I have no idea about her income now or her equity in the mansion.

The kids have done their mom a huge disservice by launching the Go Fund Me or whatever bargain basement version they’re using, bc instead of everyone. being sympathetic to their mom, now the a lot of the conversation is about her finances.

She apparently has a net worth of around $8 million, so it's surprising that she apparently has no health insurance, and that her daughter feels an online fundraiser is needed to pay her bills. I don't personally know anything about her daughter, but posters tonight say she herself has a net worth of $5 million. Not like the family lacks money for insurance, and possibly out-of-pocket expenses.

I must be missing something. All I see is sun damage on her skin; some people have really sensitive skin and experience photoaging more quickly (people with freckles, for example). The other thing is that she has a crooked smile and a lot of facial asymmetry. When she was young, it looked really cute. I think people may now be mistaking that for some kind of injury or excessive wear and tear.
