    That is insane. That's like a Monty Python sketch level of doping debris. Also glad Magness confirmed what I thought that a little pre-race shoot up is not how PEDs work. Shows not only the lack of enforcement but also the lack of knowledge and sanitation. Really dangerous risks to be playing with to be a national class athlete.

    looks like a typical public bathroom in an urban park in Oakland. at least the ones that aren't permanently closed.

    Personally, I believe the whole sport would be more exciting if lapped runners, outdoors or indoors, would get pulled from the race, DNF. Especially in outdoor 10ks. If the runner can't keep within a lap of the leading runner then they are in wrong heat and do not belong in the same race.

    It sounds harsh, but both athletes and coaches should be entering into the proper race and not polluting the race with traffic that does nothing but create havoc and potential danger with no benefit to anyone.

    .... there's already enough yawn factor to t&f distance events and for most people, seeing lapped runners is embarrassing to the event.

    You’re right, that is insane. I never heard of the story until now. Bumping. I must assume that high-level athletes are more sophisticated in their doping than to leave syringes in the toilet at the competition site. Just a different kind of cheating.

    It just shows that anti-doping was so lax until now that they felt no need to hide.
