However, Cole seems to encounter difficulty with being boxed in during races, which means he gets stuck in a crowded field of runners and struggles to find open space. Despite this challenge, there's optimism that if he can navigate through traffic better, he could be a strong contender for a medal in an upcoming competition .
Overall, it seems like Cole's performance is being evaluated positively, with acknowledgment of his potential for improvement in certain areas to achieve even better results in the future.
Did you really just explain to LR what it means to be "boxed in"?
It's chatGPT (and what appears to be a spam link)
Cole Hocker will be a SHOCKER when he medals in the World Stage or wins a 💎League ;-)
Yared has to learn the value of running a clean race and Cole is good enough now that he has to put himself in position to win. Cento won many races against more talented athletes by doing just those 2 things.
Shocker? Isn't that was Matt Wisner was trying to do to those highschool girls heyoh

Watching the race back this morning, one thing Hocker should be disappointed with is that he ran exactly the same as he did in Tokyo. He was a total non-factor throughout the race and over the final lap. He was at the back throughout the race, same old tactics. He never made a move like Laros or even Habz who at least tried to get amongst things over the last 400. Nuguse and Kipsang stayed 4th/5th throughout but had nothing for the last 200, Garcia hung at the back and had a good last 100 as did Nordas to gain his medal. But Hocker was in the same category as Gourley, Nader, and Cheruiyot - they were just, sort of, there. Part of the race but not affecting it. That's his big challenge going into Paris next year.
Let's not forget what he did in both heats to make the final. He made himself very relevant.

Unfortunately still waiting on the second one, but 2026 seems like a good time to see that.
