Interestingly enough as it stands, Ethiopia replaced her with F. Hailu which I agree with given how good her kick is. But it seems they're letting Aregawi double over inserting Telahun Bekele into the mix. That I don't quite get, but maybe Aregawi has volunteered to be a key part of team tactics in helping Kejlecha/Hagos get medals.
Not sure what Telahun is saying but got to feel bad for him having been so good this season
baller way to secure your spot - probably doesn’t have as much of a kick so conserving energy isn’t the right way to go about doing things to get into the final

Phenomenal strategy from Caune, and I don't get why more slow/bad-kick runners don't employ it in qualifying rounds if things go slowly. Caune can run 15 minutes if she paces it evenly, she can't run 15 if the pack paces 15:30 and kicks the last two laps, she wouldn't have come top 8. Need more strategy like this!
Heck yeah!!!! That awesome. That kid has some guts. Man, that was so cool to watch. She ran her race and that is big on that stage against those women. Totally deserved.

Race of her life on the biggest stage. Great to see things like that. T&F at its best when mid/back packers do something bold and it works out.
