'Woman' is a human-specific term for female, like 'cow' is to cattle' 'she' is the pronoun used to denote members of this group. Nikki competes in the correct category according to their biological sex. They are not hurting anybody as far as I can tell. Why can’t people just let others live and identify as they wish? You are so stupid. Categories are divided by sex, not gender identity. Nikki has never claimed to be biologically male, nor do they even identify as a man. Nikki identifies as transgender non-binary, which by definition means that Nikki recognizes that they have female anatomy, while having a non-binary gender identity. It's pretty obvious by Nikki's gender expression/style of dress, and mannerisms that they are more on the masculine side of the gender spectrum. This is pretty simple stuff.
Nikki is the American record holder for the mile in the female category, the current 1500 meter champion, and has a chance of making the Olympics in the female category for 2024, that's why Nikki (who has never denied having female anatomy) is competing in the female category, you dumb a$$. According to the article, it sounds like Nikki is holding off medically transitioning until after the 2024 Olympics. If Nikki does medically transition, I think it will be interesting to see just how fast they can run in the male category. I would not be surprised if Nikki goes well under 4:00 in the mile after transitioning.

Linguistically speaking, you are in the wrong here. Multiple languages, English included, have a gender neutral personal pronouns. In English, the words are “they,” “them,” “theirs,” etc. it has been this way for hundreds of years.
